He is like a Super Sleuth Ranger who just seems to home-in on these missing souls, as if they were transitting some other-worldly beacon that only he can sense. Truly amazing work & skill! And, I'm very happy to see this lost hiker found alive, & rescued without any further harm come to him.

When someone was 'basically like' something, they're cueing you in to the fact that the next thing they say is a general feel of the event, as opposed to a direct verbatim transcribing. There is not another tool in english to perform this task. Don't be a jerk because someone--in the youtube comments section, on a video about saving someone's life-- spoke in a way you didn't like. I owe a debt of thanks to many selfless and giving people like you, here in the Vancouver area, who saved my brother after he was caught in an avalanche and was trapped on the mountain with a broken femur. It took 30 volunteers 8 hours to get him out of there. I will never be able to express my gratitude for the work they did. You are saving more than the life of your rescue. Sending love and strength to you and all others involved in mountain rescue. 🙏❤✊

I am so appreciative of your amazing methods used to find these people! I think alot of people can learn from you and your groups. Hiking alone is the first mistake many make. I live in the Pacific Northwest in Washington State USA. We have hikers go missing, avalanches in the high mountains....most of these involve solo hikers, solo skiers and a high percentage die! I also appreciate your suggestions you make in making plans that you document and share with others....making sure you are in a visible location to be found....satellite phones are not expensive anymore and people should have them for wilderness adventures. Checking the weather....being prepared with proper gear....a compass, lighter, matches..a light sleeping bag with low temp rating....a tent....dry dehydrated foods...water and water filter of some kind. They make these all very light.... sticking to trails well established! So many things to prevent tragedy.

@@aquaearthnfirequ_pinsnsavi1721 I go hiking alone often. I have no friends to go with and enjoy being out in nature and getting the exercise. However, I never underestimate nature and do not take too many risks but there have still been a few times where I got close to getting into a bad situation. Obviously hiking isn't for everyone but it's not like it's significantly more dangerous than various other activities if you're mindful about it. And these forests/mountains in Taiwan are potentially some of the most dangerous in the world so it's not necessarily as bad in other places.
I only found your channel yesterday, and haven't stopped watching your videos since. I am bad with navigations, so I have never thought of going on a hike. It is really interesting to see the sights and hear your insights as to what hikers might think and do when they are lost. I really thank you for the work that you do. I do not have much to offer, but I still wish to contribute.

greetings from Germany. I just want to say one thing. thank you for your commitment! You put yourself in danger to save others or to find the bodies so families can bury their loved ones properly. For that you have earned my utmost respect. I take my hat off to you
Petr, you are an inspiration and have quickly catapulted your way to my favorite KZbin channel. I never knew Taiwan was so breathtakingly beautiful--- you are lucky to be there and they are lucky to have you. I already have a Garmin smartwatch, but after seeing your Fenix 7X in action, I will most assuredly be purchasing one....and to that effect, I am so impressed with you and what you do, that I have even tweeted (another first for me) at Garmin to suggest they consider sponsoring you directly. I hope this wasn't too forward of me, but in my mind you are the perfect candidate.
good point, I have my own statistic. just side joke: many of the lost person are not alive anymore and many were not find... (I have unpublished footage of 3 cases which were never found, and probably will not be found)
I had to cry watching this. It's just beautiful this moment. You are a true hero and I love your channel. I hope hikers will give more awareness to the dangers of mother nature and less people get lost or die...
Just found your channel and have been watching a lot of your videos. Each time that it is a loss, there is a sad silent sort of emotion I feel but watching this one, I felt my eyes water and my heart felt so happy to see him alive and okay, he gets to go on and live his life and that is such a gift. You’re amazing! Thank you for bringing us all on the journey with you! Cheers!
