Delhi Keep Boom and Elephants are INSANE!

Just wait till people realize you get infinite keeps with French when you set guild hall to stone, it's like 600 stone a minute once youve banked for 10 min. Was always one of my favorite French strats to fill the map with 30+ keeps

too bad you can't pull one keep's worth of stone out at a time and stay at that maximum income while dropping keeps as needed

@@diggoran I agree with that, but it's still pretty bonkers the fact you get infinite stone. It was much more oppressive before when French could also set their traders to return stone as well. They had the highest potential out of all the civs to generate the most Stone late game when the mining veins are depleted.

Forced march should applied to elephants

It should aply to all units and reduce the Lifepoints Afterwards for 10 Seconds for 10 %, than it would be perfect 😁

@@gehtdichnixan2499 don't think that is a good idea, since it would be too powerful for siege pushes, elephant kiting, ressource gathering, the already fast imams and cavalry that moves faster than mongols.

i started as delhi but switched to Malians soon as they came out. always struck me odd they nerfed elephants so much though they were so slow smarter players used horses to attack my back lines and i thought to myself why not balanced around their slow speed and game mechanics over pure stats....anyway glad te see delhi getting used again

I wonder if with the faster village fortress tech if it's worth not putting too much effort into capturing sacreds and instead going straight to castle... I mean maybe send a scholar or 2 out to sacreds but dont waste time or resources on units and instead go straight to castle with compound of def. and spam keeps asap. Then boom up and then go for sacreds. Anyone try this?

Sacred sites isn't just for the gold, you force your opponent to make more units to counter it, and if they make less than needed it snowballs very quickly because not only do you win the engagement you get the sites gold AND your scholars heal every fight. If you rushed straight for it I think you just don't have the res to do much, starting a keep tc at like 10 minutes vs a Abba with 5 tc before then may not be too great

it wasn't worth it before and it still isn't. You go for a eco play when other civs already have TCs out and producing vills. So your bonus kicks in later when you already behind, spending more ressources (age up + castle) and waiting extra (research time).

hindsight is 2020 but the guy probably should've just spammed spears which would be used solely to keep track and fight the elephants then have a horse man raids on the flanks as the elephants would be to slow to respond making delhi have to split their deathball army or change their comp

You are playing a small 1v1 map so you get empty space. Try 4v4 large maps and you can't see shit on the small minimap
