Make sense being that there's nothing really much to it. All samples pretty simple to do.
@StrasnusDude7 жыл бұрын
wow then you havent seen how dj dilla chops his samples. not easy to do.
@munchingtaco127 жыл бұрын
StrasnusDude 4 months late, but he wasn't insulting madlib. He literally made the beat on his iPad
@melvoHD6 жыл бұрын
The beat was done on his iPad, not the whole song
@jeffalangore8 жыл бұрын
I know it sounds like this beat is just samples, but I went to remake it and when I put the loops together I noticed that he did so much more than just loop up chops from Suzie Thundertussy. He put his own drums on top of the track that are supposed to sound like the original drums, you can notice because there are open hi hats that arent in the original, and the snare doesnt have as much of a crack. It also seems as if he did the bassline over, probably required from taking the bass out of the sample to put his own drums back over. My assumption is because the groove is a little different in different parts of the song, for example the "let me tell you, I'm out here" is much different in groove than the rest. Also if you listen to the madlib version, the melodic elements of the sample are tucked back much further than the drums in the madlib version, while in the sample the drums and melodics are equally present. If you listen close to No More Parties you'll notice all of this.

Jeff Gore remember the beat would of been given to engineer to mix as well. Plus... who cares!!! enjoy the music!!! you freaks are always trying to over Analyse and jack someone else's style. That's not what hip hop is about.
@Mahula9997 жыл бұрын
Jeff Gore ink madlib could just know how to eq, and multiband compress but we will probably never know what he did
@yanceyboyz6 жыл бұрын
He just filtered the baseline with low pass and hi passed the sample, two tracked. added a little snare and hats. Job done.
@yanceyboyz6 жыл бұрын
I think you’re over analysing it just a tad, hate to burst your bubble but madlib made this on an iPad and did nothing to it really, he said in an interview he “didn’t wanna do anything to it except dirty it up a little” “that’s why they call me the loopdigga” and the beat took him 5 minutes to make. He didn’t redo the bass, it’s just filtered. Go listen to the Freddie Gibbs version, that hasn’t been run through a giant ssl desk by multiple engineers.
