You can also use the dung eater puppet summon. He takes less damage the less health he has, and casts a debuff on enemies that lowers their defense and for some reason everytime I’ve summoned him in the dlc, they only focus on him

the reason i suffered 15 deaths was to learn his pattern, in my play thru in eldenring close to the end game i was depending on mimic tear so much that i felt like i couldnt do anything without summoning, so i stopped doing any summons. either i win alone or i dont win.

Love that dark souls spirit! That’s what got me into PvP. Once you surpass the base game challenge with all the bells and whistles, you can make it more challenging by omitting them. The challenge is what we seek, and that kind of ruins other games for us, unfortunately. 😂

This strat works even better if you give your mimic raw meat dumplings in your hotbar. They have a chance to randomly eat one and restore 50% hp

Very true! I didn’t include one in the Messmer fight because it’s a bit more quick and if you have Hornsent, you can kind of gank Messmer lol. But for most of the other fights, especially the final boss, that raw meat dumpling can be a life saver! 😎

Hard swapping is a skill all on its own and one I only got somewhat decent at, so don’t feel bad! It does work, though, for about 60-70% of the fight, which is usually enough to heal and gain your footing back. 😊

Main tip no.1 Try not to dodge backwards, because he has some roll catching attacks if you roll backwards, mainly being the extra fire effect on his attacks

That’s very strange you should be able to use your mimic in both fights. Make sure you don’t have your furled finger remedy activated, because if it is it won’t allow any summons from your bell.

Take away his incantation seal and hard swap it on yourself after you summon your mimic-same time you take off sabriri’s woe. I always take my bow off before I summon my mimic cause otherwise he just sits in the corner and shoots a single arrow while the boss raw dogs me.

Yeah, the talisman only works maybe 60% of the time and each time you go in to get your licks in, he will aggro immediately so be ready to roll. Try him solo a few times to memorize his moves a little so when he comes at you, you can react with some knowledge. Don’t give up-you can do it, I believe in you!!!

Nope, the npcs in the world you are invading never will pay you any attention. Though, bigger enemies can hurt you but never agro on just you.

Actually, I had the same experience. Hippo was tearing me up, while Messmer bleed out fairly easily. I was a fairly low Scadutree level when I fought Messmer so I can imagine it would be far easier if it had been 15+.

@@SoulsBros420 I think mine was lvl 13, and for messmer the thing that got me was just that he's really too fair to be ridiculously hard. His attacks are well telegraphed, he doesn't have many moves that can one shot you, and he doesn't have ridiculous resistances. Meanwhile hippo be like "IM GOING TO HIT YOU WITH THE AIR NOW JUST BECAUSE"

Dang, that’s awesome. I put the finger lady down no issues, but Messmer gave me a run for my money. None of them compare to the final boss. The final boss is so hard I went to kill melania to activate her great rune (thinking it would help in the final boss fight) and she seemed trivial-downed her first go and wasn’t ever close to dying.

Oh no! 😥 Keep at it-this boss has well choreographed moves, give it a good try like 25-30 times and you will probably naturally get good enough to beat him even without summons. Granted it might take closer to 45-50 in some cases if you don’t learn those kinds of things quickly. Nonetheless, if you keep at it you will win. Oh no! Yeah in my longer video on this method, I talk about how it isn’t full proof and you still have to dodge about 40% of the time. Keep at it! It helps to fight him alone a handful of times so you know how to get out of hiding one/two shot range and let your summons step in and agro. You can do it!
