Wow, this takes me waay back. I used to love this track. Had the 7", but lost it somewhere along the way - I still recall one gig in particular at the Pulse - afternoon sun pouring into the place upstairs, stratums of smoke drifting, and this song being played really loud. Haunting, melancholy and transporting stuff. What a time for NZ music this was! Terminus/Trades Hall/Last Resort/Cave/Electric Ballroom etc. Thanks for rescuing it, from Phil Mackie.

does anyone know how to play this on guitar ? tremendous chords
@failsaferecords8 ай бұрын
I do, although I'm usually watching my own fingers on bass when Nino plays it. It's a droning A string, with notes on the D string (11- 9 , 14- 13, and then G string 13 - 11, 16). That's pretty much the whole thing. The verse is all just an A chord. The chorus is A E B.

It's actually a contemplative optimistic song. He did get to see the turn of the century. It wasn't so bad, but, you'll have to check out the bands recent single No Wonder to see how things are panning out in the next 23 odd years.

We wish we could but spotify line their own pockets to the tune of billions while leaving artists with nothing. We can't support that, in the same way they refuse to channel anything remotely resembling support in a fair return to artists. Grab the album at the bandcamp link beatrhythmfashion.bandcamp.com
