I forgot to say that in my voice recording but I added text on 1:28. By doing this, it seems to solve the majority of problems. Also, this video is on how to install and use the camera plus mod for your gameplays. For recording, read down below! Many have asked how to record the gameplay? Well, I use OBS Studio(free software) for all my recordings! I just released a new tutorial video on how to automatically record your beat saber gameplay with OBS every time you click the play song button compared to the old way of lifting my vr headset, going to click the record button, play it, then stop recording. I done setting up the angle, works well BEFORE I get into the actual game phase. But whenever the game starts, the camera goes back to the default position, why?

When you say game phase do you mean when you play a song or when you’re at the menu screen of the game? Cause normally when you have the new in-game camera angle setup for your recordings it should stay there when in menu, playing songs and when you come back again to play beatsaber unless you reset it to default. Note: this does not impact what you see on your headset which will always be 1st person but the viewer that pops up on your pc monitor.

No unfortunately it doesn’t. Quest users have their own specific mods that works for them. Some are somewhat the same that you get from oculus rift or cable vr headsets. Hey I was wondering, I record my gameplay just by recording screen with beatsaber on it with OBS. Is there a better way to record beatsaber? Like so that you potentially get higher fps or higher quality? My recordings seem fine but my fps isn't very smooth even if it's fine in my headset.

that is something that you will have to play with your settings in OBS. Depending on how strong your pc is you will have to reflect that into your settings. kzbin.info/www/bejne/d368YnZ9pLSMa9k is the video I used to get my recording set up on OBS and had it since I started this whole thing. You can also check youtuber Muazz to get more in-depth OBS recording settings for higher fps/quality. One thing I would note in case of lag: Go to "Output" then find the "Quality Preset" Change that to "balanced." Sometimes it's about compromising as much as we can, but I hope this helps.

Carvas that’s odd especially since you checked mark and downloaded camera plus mod from mod assistant. Can you check if that plug in is in your plug in folder inside beatsaber folder? Also, what are you using in terms of headset(oculus rift, Htc vive. , etc) and check if “mod settings” is showing in the beatsaber game

So as your playing the beatsaber game a viewer will pop up showcasing what you see inside the headset onto your monitor. That’s when you follow this video to set the viewer up to be at the angle you want to later capture. Next open up obs and add a scene followed by adding display capture. Right click on display capture, click on properties and select the display that has the beatsaber viewer on it. I’m planning on making a video on how to fully record and upload gameplays for beatsaber so i will go into the settings i use and what not

where do i record the streams ? Til now i've used the xbox-recorder (win+G and start recording on the BSaber-window) Do i have 2 windows when setting up two cameras ? Or use some other tool for record them ?

Xbox recorder is alright but I use OBS studio(free) to record my beatsaber gameplay and you’re able to stream as well through it like twitch and such. Unfortunately you cannot have 2 windows with each window/monitor having it’s own angle view of beatsaber. This mod creates new camera in-game viewers at different angles on the same window/monitor you are playing/viewing beat saber from. So as long as you have a recording software(xbox-recorder/obs studio or something else) to capture your gameplay on that monitor you are all set. Hope that answered your question.

The only one that comes to mind is LIV which you can install and move a list of in-game cameras to be 3rd person. Example: Pistol Whip is a 1st person game but with LIV you will be able to move that camera to be 3rd person and this mod only works on certain vr games. They have a discord channel with all the details and list of vrgames that you can use it for. I’ve tried to do it but I’m pretty sure i missed something but there are tutorials on how to do it if you search for it.

@@Terzerr So there isn't a way of doing it in camera plus. But you can get that circle effect via OBS Studio and LIV from what I've been told from my friend. This is what they said: " I use LIV(steamVR app) to get the third person view and I have a gamecapture source which captures the LIV output. Then I a second gamecapture source which captures the Beat Saber output. I have beat saber set to a 1920*1080 resolution and I trim 420 pixels from the left and right side to make it 1080 by 1080. I also apply a mask filter to make it round." And that's how you do it!

Run the IPA.exe file in your beatsaber folder and see if that does anything to it. Make sure to have the game off when doing it. Double check that you indeed have the mod installed in the plugins folder and to open up mod assistant and see if there’s a new version of camera plus that needs to be updated. Do all this with the game off and then open the game and see if it works

I'm honestly stumped by that and you already uninstalled/reinstalled. You said it was working before and now it's bad. Was there anything specific that might have happened to have caused this or was this just you turn the game off and next day you turned it on and it was bad? You can try to mess with the render scale within layout of camera plus to see if it gets any better.

camera plus is for recording your gameplay viewer that pops up whenever playing beatsaber. If you want the walls to actually be transparent when looking through your headset when playing then you need to download Transparent Wall Mod within Mod Assistant under Practice/Training section.

I'm confused a bit maybe someone here will see this and know where to send me or how to help me understand. I see multiple angles where its recording from the front back amd sides how is that possible? Are people re arranging the camera each time and doing multiple shots and editing them together? I would love to have the camera capture my whole body what are some good recording cameras?

so the camera plus mod helps to create multiple in-game cameras that you can then grab and move around to position them where you like (front, back, side angle). Then you need to record your pc screen when you play the game with a video capture device or OBS software (free) which I personally use for all my videos. You wouldn't do multiple takes to later add them all together via editing software. Takes too much space and the sync won't be perfect. There is another mod I saw that people use but it's in Japanese hence Japanese KZbinrs that play beatsaber have even crazier and unique camera angles such as avatars not in square viewers or avatars front side appearing alongside the 3rd person viewer but have no viewer window constraints as if it was keyed(masked) out. This is all I know and hoping there will be a bigger update with more tools to use in camera plus mod. Hope this helped even a little bit.

Kay's Only Hope's and Dream's oh are you talking about mixed reality? So instead of an Avatar appearing it is you who is in place of the avatar? If so then something like LIV would be your best bet. Though a couple of things to know. LIV works only for Steam beatsaber vr version. You need a webcam or any camera to capture you, have a greenscreen background to mask you out, and then sync your controllers to the sensors to read the space between you and them (i think another sensor if I’m correct). LIV you can use but you have to register a license/code in order to download it which you do from their discord and you don’t have to pay, if i remember correctly. There are tons of tutorials if you type “LIV setup beatsaber” if you are interested. Unfortunately, that’s all i can help you with as my knowledge for LIV is lacking since i don’t have/use that program 🙃

I never had that problem before. I reached out to mod discord and they said to uninstall camera plus mod through mod assistant and reinstall it as well as running the IPA.exe file then close it, before starting up beatsaber again. Make sure camera plus is in your plugins folder and that mod settings is showing when you start beatsaber in the center menu section. Those 2 will confirm that the mods are indeed working.

Ooh yeah not good. Go into layout then in layer change it to being something else than the number it is showing either up/down by one or more doesn’t matter. Then you will be working on that layer instead of the spam 38 cameras. Or else you will have to individually remove them on the same layer you created them which would be annoying. Honestly they should remove the “spam 38 camera” off of this mod lol

When you say normal do you mean that the window viewer on your monitor now switches from ex. Third person to 1st person (normal) view of the game when you are capturing/recording your screen.

This is specifically for beat saber. But if you got LIV software you can get different camera angles on vr games. LIV works only for vr games that are supported by it and that are bought on steam

This is just another way of doing it. LIV i tried to set up before but was having trouble with it and i just found this method to work for me in beatsaber and since i was focus on beatsaber this will do. Also, cause camera plus mod is specifically meant for beatsaber. Unlike camera plus mod, LIV can be used across multiple VR games. It’s up to you which you choose.

yes all you have to do is download OBS which is a free capture program that a lot of people use from streamers/content creators etc. That is what I use to capture and record my gameplays and tutorials

do you have smooth camera disabled? make sure to have that off. Usually, it doesn't lag the game unless you have it set up wrong or your pc just can't handle it. Try removing it as well as play beat saber to see if it lags or not and if not try reinstalling it again. Note:Because Camera+ specifically doubles the render you'll need a good pc. I hope it's just something simple as disabling smooth camera as well as BG particles such as smoke in the game settings.

No camera is created when I press "Add new camera" bruh edit: yes smooth camera is disabled another edit: they ARE being created, but they're invisible, I spawned about 5000 camera & I can't delete any of them, I never could

I would suggest going into layout and click the layer to be a different number than what is set so you won't be on the same layer that you created those 5000 cameras. From there create a new camera and make sure to enable show camera to see if it is visible in-game for you to move. Hopefully, this will help solve your problem!

How do you get your camera to keep the angle you set it up with? I'll move around the camera in the main menu, but when I load into a level, it resets itself back to default

It should automatically stay there and capture you playing a level from that angle on your monitor screen from which you will use your own recording software to capture it. In no way does the new camera angle reflect what you see in your headset. Your headset view will always be 1st person. Just trying to clarify.

Ive been trying to stream with an avatar but the avatar obstructs the of the camera, so ive been trying to move the camera around so that it can capture a wider range, but when i load into a level, the camera resets, and my viewers are blocked off by the avatar once again. Ive tried moving the camera up and to the side, but to no avail.

@@lobsterr6274 so I was told that you should remove userdata/camera plus within your beatsaber folder, restart the game and then setup camera plus again. It could have been that something wasn't properly going through correctly when installed and that happens every now and then rarely. There's been incidents of that from what I heard from the modding community. hopefully that will work.

Sorry for the late reply. This video was mainly to show how you can get different angles within the game then you use whatever recording device you have to record. I used OBS studio, which is free to download, to capture my screen of me playing it. I will be making a video on it soon showing what recording settings i use and other tips.

That is something up to the individual modder but i highly doubt that. The purpose of oculus quest is to be independent away from a pc and free of cables. With that in mind i can see why it hasn’t had this mod available to it unless something else comes about. But that’s all i’m aware of.

That’s a very good question! I never really look into that and from what i explored with camera plus there wasn’t a feature like that to enable it unless it’s really hidden. Because i dont know for certain it maybe possible but i highly doubt that

Matyanson i know what you mean. Mainly i would stick to the main angle (big box view) that i want to showcase the most then the other angle (small box view) of another side that i dont mind too much losing somewhat quality.

@@DLegionHeir Yeah that is the best alternative but I want both views to be full quality and with nothing on top of them so I can edit them however I want in post-production and switch between them. For now I figured out to record the smooth 360 view in Beatsaber window with camera + installed. And at the same time record the steam VR "VR view". But it is not stabilised and you can see the vr area walls for example which distracts from the gameplay

@@Matyanson it's always a pain having to go through so many steps in order to get the results you want but only to find out that the results aren't what you are expecting due to having to compromise in certain areas. I wish there was a simple 3rd party software that can do that or maybe that feature could be implemented to the camera plus mod in a future update. Not unless you have an oculus link cable attached to your quest to your laptop or pc turning your quest into a vr wired headset and buying a steam or oculus store version of beatsaber instead from the quest app store then downloading mod assistant. In general quest is limited in mods and if you just want custom songs for quest you can download the quest mod manager which link is in the description and a very few other mods that you can find in there. Or else if you want full use of every mod then you are going to need to pay extra money to get it to work. Hope this was informative.

For full body tracking you will need additional stuff. First 3 vive trackers, base station, and/or 360kinect/xboxonekinect. Htc vive it’s much easier. With oculus it comes with additional steps and software as they don’t have their own trackers besides the hand controllers and headset. There’s a way of making it happen with vive trackers. I don’t have a full body tracking so i can only tell you what i know and heard of. Because most songs especially familiar/popular ones will get flagged/copyright which limits monetization. Even before going there you will need to have mínimum of 1,000 subs to be eligible for it as well as having certain 4,000hrs amount of watch hours in the last 12months and joining youtube partner program. There’s a lot that goes on so definitely spending time researching it more will help.

It will only work if you have an "oculus link" connected to your quest and pc making it into a fully pc vr headset. On top of that, you would need to buy beat saber again on either the oculus store or steam, instead of using the quest store version.

@@rickrollrizal2364 you know I was discussing that with a few other people and mentioned it in my discord, how much mods helped this game exceed its life expectancy. The developers should include certain features from mods to enhance the game as long as they don't break any laws when publishing them. Like custom songs obviously copyright issues but stuff like camera plus is doable. They won't survive just on music pack dlc alone and multiplayer. They do need to include other features and I'm surprised they haven't!

For recording sessions i use OBS studio which is a free software that can capture your pc screen of any games you play. Camera plus mod was merely an extension of showcasing the gameplay from different angles instead of the typical 1st person view within the beatsaber saber game then opening and using OBS studio to record my screen!

Doesn’t matter if you have beatsaber on steam or oculus this is a mod that you can get through mod assistant which i did a video on how to set it up and you would just have to identify the source of where you got the game during that process and that’s it.
