It's probably because your more used to the Japanese version, because some of the words at the end of each verse sound the same as the Japanese version which often tricks you into hearing the Japanese version rather than the English version.

I’m still trying to finish every song on the quest version on expert. It’s killer hard, I feel like I give my wrist a minor sprain every other week. I’m making progress, but damn… this game is an infinite mountain of challenge. Gonna get to expert+ and then join the rest of you on PC. Looking forward to this insane library of songs I’ve only ever seen here.

You'll get it, and it'll get way easier! I did so much "rum and bass" for the campaign 29 that I never want to hear the song again haha. There are so many songs I see where I'm just like "gees... I can never do that"... the feeling when finally beating one of these challenge songs though is so good!

It's pretty easy to get custom songs on the quest just gotta downgrade your best saber to version 1.13.2 I believe then follow any of the guides for doing it on quest when all set up you can download any of 'em from inside the quest using BMBF

Damn that’s impressive when I started I did a few hard levels then only did exper one hand super fast and once I mastered all while getting minimal mistakes I could do all levels of expert and all expert + except for all camellia songs ( not including what da cat and exit the earths atomosphere) and ost 4

Ironically I seem to get FCs more easily on my first attempt of a song, or at least first in a while or first of that day, probably because I’m actually following the rhythm of the music rather than anticipating what’s coming and end up being too early because I know it’s coming but it hasn’t come yet.

because they made the words and pitch of them to sound like the original song, which wasn't in english. That's why there seem to be huge pitch changes through 1 or 2 words. It's quite impressive how close they got it to sound compared the original, especially with the somewhat limited words they could have used to pull it off
