Mod/scooter culture OF COURSE isnt as big in my generation (Im 26) as my parents or grandparents, but scooters are probably more popular now than they have ever been. They are only remembered as being more popular 40/50 years ago because they had more attention drawn to them. People still love Vespas and Lammies. Royal Alloy and other companies too. People love nostalgia, and although subcultures change they still influence other subcultures today (Indie, casuals, Preppy) and many young people still feel connected to alternative culture such as skinheads and punk. Afterall, you dont REALLY think Vespa is going to die anytime soon do you? All subcultures evolve, they have to, we cant all listen to the same musicians as 40 years ago, new blood and new ideas come in. And thats okay. Pieces of the past find their way into the present. People love abit of retro nostalgia and fashions come round full circle
