Jad Al Sayegh Actually you could go into a similar opening line against the Petrov with d3

What if black simply takes (6. d5 takes e4) and then after 7. dxe plays Kc6?

Serhii Kotyk i think white can always have a good activity on the D-file if the center opens

Great video. A tough player in our area always play the French defense brilliantly. I'll try the King's Indian attack the next time after checking some analysis.

I usually start out with Nf3 so I don't get to play the Qe2 variation. But with Qe2 variation the e5 is a strong outpost for the bishop in the attack

8:45 h3 Bxc6 is a nice in between move bc White has Qe4. Bxc6 hxg5 Be4 and you retain Qh5 ideas.

There are many valid ways to handle the KIA verses the french. What makes what I am to do so incredibly unique is the following line 1.e4 e6 2.d3 d5 3.Qe2 b6 intending Ba6 too good! unique too

I usually play the king’s Indian attack agains the French, but never realized how powerful this C4 move can be. I’m definitely including it into my play

It seems to work only if black make c5 move. After Nc6 and Nd4 in next move, forcing the queen out of her sweet spot, no matter what white plays the game slowly equalize. What do you think?
