I think it was acting weird because the transient slices were only 1/8th notes, it didn't seem to want to stutter the notes faster than that. Maybe when you were using a breakbeat, it may have had 16th or faster slices.

From what I can tell, the offset tells ableton which transient to play... next time it decides to play a new transient (if that makes sense)

Yeah. I picked a bad loop for this example. My bad. It takes some getting to know but when you nail it it’s really flexible. I will pick up this topic again in a future video with a better loop for an example.
