Very nice song, might I ask which genre this is? Does this get sorted in to Dubstep? Also has some DnB vibes kinda mixed with Colour Bass.

Thanks :) I'd call this DnB personally, I always end up borrowing elements from other genres but the intention was to write a DnB track in 160 bpm, which is a bit slow for the genre.

Yes I would say so. I think Rhythm / grove & use of instruments / sounds are ultimately the deciding factor. There is no definite line between genres though, so it can be difficult to pin it down as artists are trying to expand their sound and other factors that come into play. Typically I would say that the rhythm instruments are the deciding factor of the umbrella genre (DnB, House, Dubstep, Garage and so on), and then the use of instruments would define the dividing sub genres (Melodic Dubstep, Riddim Dubstep, Liquid DnB, Neurofunk DnB and so on). Of course this is just a rule of thumb that sounds right to me, there is gonna be exceptions from song to song because people write all kind of weird music :D Also, some might argue that some sub genres deserve to be their own genre, and some that all these new sub genres are dividing a genres community when it doesn't need to. There are still people who see "Electronic Music" or "EDM" as the umbrella genre, whereas I see it as just a way of making music, like acoustic music. Anyways, I hope this was helpful and thanks for listening to my music

@@BEATCOREOfficial Fair point that EDM is not an Umbrella genre. Although I use the term as such, when I talk to ppl. that dont have a clue about electronic music as the term is easier to understand. Anyways thx for your thoroughly explanation.

@@charbydis4634 I think it's still totally fine to do so. Maybe "EDM" is more of a genre and "Electronic Music" the way you make it anyway. On the other hand to me personally like Hardstyle and lets say DnB are just too different to be called the same genre. But yes absolutely, most people can't even begin to understand the variety of sound electronic music actually has to offer so it's just easiest to leave it at that haha :D Fun conversation :)
