Your comments about brushes reminded me of what I did when I began as a MUA back in 2002. H&M was clearing out their cosmetic line. I stopped by a store of theirs in NYC. I purchased several items like brushes (75 cents) and sponges/powder puffs (50 cents) etc. 10 years later I still have the 75 cent brushes in my brush roll. They continue to work very well.

You make me smile, you make me believe that one day i can actually do makeup for other people, i always get the question who does your makeup, and one day someone said to me you should be handing me your card, thats when i knew i should be doing what i love. You're honesty is so inconceivable! Most people don't want to talk about their journey, or how to achieve a goal, and you're right. Sometimes we just need to fail to learn. In life, we're not taught enough about failure, and how to accept it, so we can get back up again. It's apart of life. I love your videos. Been commenting on them all night. lol! So you can ignore the comments that you've answered in videos because I am bound to brush up on 'em. :P

This is what I have in my kit. I dig them so far! They have a palette that I paid about $80 for it has32 foundation colors. No concealers or anything else, but I do like it. Each pot has about half an ounce of foundation in it.

THIS WAS VERY HELPFUL! I'm a Fashion Designer, but i love makeup as well. I've been battling as to whether or not i should take a "Stab" at it simply because paying for a makeup artist for a Look Book shoot can sometimes be a bit expensive or doesn't fit the budget and heck why shouldn't I Diversify my talents?! I've been subscribed to your channel for about 2yrs learning all i can via your tutorials and I must say. THIS BY FAR, TO ME,WAS ONE OF THE MOST HELPFUL VIDEOS YOU'VE MADE THUS FAR! THNX

i love how you said that there is no college course for your profession. thats what ive been trying to explain to my mother. I tell her if i went to college I would end up in cosmetology school and learn hair and nails 90 percent of the time and only 10 percent on makeup. My thing is makeup. I would end up crying if i messed up on hair or nails, but if I messed up makeup its all ok because it washes off and i would learn from my mistakes.

Great info. Thank god the few people I work on don't judge by my product. They basically just trust me. I don't use tons of high end products and things seem to be going well. What I did do was make my own palette. I popped out my wet and wild colors and blinded out my pallets like a lux addiction product and they really in awe over that alone. I also do neat things to my elf brushes.

But you really have encouraged me THANK YOU!!!

I luv crown brushes(inexpensive) and if you don't mind pay a little more.i like MAC and Hakuhodo brushes (both around the same price). I will say that the hakuhodo brushes are the softest ever.

You mentioned you wash your brushes but what do you do when using your cosmetics on a client to prevent contaminating your kit?Do you use disposable "brushes, etc" or perhaps pour foundation in a MacDonald's type ketchup cup or perhaps on the back of your hand and that type of thing? Also, I never thought about priming the eyes or anything else for that matter.Excellent tip.
