I know these games fit a very niche type of platformer. But I think the final evolution of this genre is having real life breakdown. Wear and tear. food consumption. Defecation even. Like as they keep jumping, they get tired and cannot jump/climb as well. Elements where you CAMP!?!?! Form parties at certain summits? Choose wisely, because the people you are with could send you to the bottom. It is so expandable. Jumping and other traits improve too. It would be AMAZING to see that in action. my two cents.
