Astels meteors are more flashy than threatening, a vast majority of them are just distractions that shoot at the floor. However there will be one portal that tracks you and fires 3 meteors toward you at a steady pace. So you can just stand still, dodge the first meteor, and use that to see which portal is aiming at you, or just spam roll since I think the timing works out perfect for if you dodge one, 2 buffered rolls, next buffered roll dodges the meteor.

I actually figured this out last night and clutched out a win with like 20% of my health left. I was convinced I was dead when he teleported away and started the first meteor storm, but I managed to dodge all three storms he conjured on my way to killing him. Only had one flask left when I started into the fight, convinced I would have to revive at the stake to retry. Feels good when you clutch what you think was literally an impossible situation.

Should add there is a grace behind the door across the bridge and you can get that door open by going through the Valcano Manor's secret passageways which adds a much shorter path to the Malenia fight or whatever fight it may be.

I just finished bonking Margit to death with useless staves and I figured out how to avoid the two sword swipes followed by the staff stab. You have to roll into (straight foward) the first holy sword stab, then to the left for the second, and keep moving to the left so the staff stab misses you. It's super hard to do because you'll get used to rolling to the right when you hear his weapon summoning sound, since that's the only way to avoid the two dagger swipes.

A rainbow stone only run. You can only use those rainbow rock arrows but everything is up to you. Golden vow, flame grant me strength, bloodboil aromatic, arrows sting talisman, arrows reach talisman, perfumers talisman, and then either ritual sword talisman or the blue dancer charm for damage. Just a ridiculous arrow type to try and beat the game with.

It's extremely fun in the open world, but it usually results in someone being animation locked in more difficult encounters past Godrick and maybe Renalla, should she stand still long enough.

So a tip for the melania fight or that area in general. You don’t have to run back that way. If you go left instead of into the church after the stairs you can lift the drawbridge. It turns a 3 min walk into a 30 second one. Hope this helps!

Oh man, when I saw Fia's Champions for phase two of "Rennala" I thought you were screwed! I had the same experience of underestimating them when I first started doing randomizer runs, and kept getting bursted down for my hubris. Twin Gargoyles into the Gank Squad is pretty rough. I'm glad you're trying out the randomizer, it's really well put together. I'd love to see more videos with it! The idea of combining the challenge run format with the randomizer is really good, and I honestly prefer this sort of thematic challenge over something more simple. If you wanted to spend a while changing the settings, you could even make the enemies that get randomized part of the challenge - like for example turning the whole world into Caelid or just having "elemental" enemies that use fire/lightining/frost/etc. Stipulations not just on your build but on the world seem like a great way to keep things fresh not just for the viewer but also as the person who actually has to play the game. There are only so many novel vanilla challenge runs, after all. I think that's especially important for you as a youtuber given the pressure put on you to keep pumping out Elden Ring challenge runs; it would be a shame if you got burned out on making videos because you feel like you have to do the same thing over and over. I really love your narration and the script it comes from, and your dedication to the specifics of the challenge and arbitrary rules is really endearing. Edit: Having now finished the video, I totally concur with you that the rules you used for the randomizer were probably a mistake, given the massive amount of time it took. I would say though that the randomizer is a combined one, and highly adjustable - from personal experience, I find the all great runes stipulation to be one of the least enjoyable with how much it drags things out and how it makes you look literally everywhere. My suggestion would be to not randomize nearly as much (leave the key items and bell bearings where they are) and also make sure to cut down on the "important locations" list a lot. My preferred setting for casual play is to turn off all bosses and talisman locations, excluding caves and the like. This doesn't mean you won't find great stuff elsewhere, and it also doesn't mean you'll be guaranteed to get something worthwhile at important locations, but it does make finishing the run a lot more enjoyable. Like I said, I would recommend trying a run using a themed custom enemy placement if you want to spend the time setting that up, as it seems like a really neat idea for a challenge. It'd help to shift the focus from finding items to learning how to deal with the ruleset and challenges unique to the stipulations you're using. You could even just do the enemy randomization only, no item changes. Great video, keep up the good work!

You can explore the entirety of Altus Plateu and Mt Gelmir just after getting the Key, after teleporting into Mt Gelmir by Iron Maiden. You just need to go through the Hidden Area and Fight the 2 Kidnapper Maidens which hopefully are easier than normal bosses. There's also a few skips that you can go through aswell. But I don't know if you wanted to use skips.

A challenge I have thought of would be a run of thinking every weapon, spell and armour as having a durability of 1. So if you die that weapon, armour or spells equiped are gone for good. It was to be my way of using more items in the game than I ever did in my first play though and a reason to explore as well. Also a reason to grind mobs for disposable weapons and armour too. Makes upgrading risky and the use of Bell bearings more useful. Oh and a reason to use sprite ashes as well as I would include them as used if you die as well. For a real hard one you could risk the randomised as well or making ashes of war one use as well once assigned to a weapon

I have some ideas for challenge runs. A Bear Grylls run where you can only use what you either find on the ground of pick up off an enemy. You can't use Hewg and can only upgrade with the anvil at the church of elle. You can decide the.horse and estus rules. You have to eat meat products even if you don't need them, the ones that buff you, boluses, prawns, etc. Just eat things to show a survival vibe I guess? You can't use magic of any kind since Bear Grylls is no magician. That's all I've got for that run.

This is something Ive been wanting for a long while. Ive seen challenge runs and Ive also seen character cosplays (in PVP) and this is the combo Ive wanted. Great video and with that if you wanted more ideas beating the game but only as (blank) character is something I would instantly watch.

I'd suggest: "Can you beat Elden Ring as a Soldier?" You are only allowed to use weapons and armour and items that are available to the generic soldiers and foot soldiers (but not knights). You also have to wear a matched set, so for instance, you cannot wear a Godrick Soldier Helm with a Redmane Surcoat or the Lordsworn Greatsword with any of the Footsoldier gear. Also, your items need to match as well, so for instance if you want to make use of Cockoo Glintstones you'll have to dress up as a Raya Lucaria Soldier. Spirit Ashes are allowed but only Soldier and Foot Soldier ones. Also, no mounted combat. You could go even further and not use Torrent at all. Only Ashes of War that either come with the weapons by default or are actually used by Soldiers in-game, also only standard infusion on all weapons.

So I know that this may not be your standard forum for videos, however, you are CRAZY fun to watch. These challenge runs brought SO many people to your channel, and it's not just because they're all massive Elden Ring challenge run lovers. You're actually just hella funny, and fun to watch. Your style of narrative, along with your better than average gameplay, make you very satisfying. If I can offer one suggestion, it's that on randomizer runs like this, you should actually show the trash items that each boss drops, instead of glossing over them. Even just a small flash of what the items are. That is literally the only complaint I have, everything is so well cut, and so well commentated. Oh here's a probably impossible one, a law of causality only run. Use heals and buffs to keep you alive long enough to activate the spell to deal damage. Maybe fires deadly sin can proc it but it would be interesting to see you try and best the game with that spell as your only source of damage.

Maliketh simply is very squishy. You usually don't notice because he's a very late game boss, very aggressive and it's two different fights back to back but Maliketh has less health than the Draconic Tree Sentinel outside his arena.

I’ve been trying so hard to do an Aberrant sorcerery play through for the last week or so. The only spells I can use are Briars of Sin and Briars of Punishment. Casting times are abysmal, damage is abysmal, the self-damage can make or break a fight, and the bleed is not nearly enough to redeem it. I am in pain.

You have to combo into it and it cuts the casting by more than half look it up on here it’s a few vids of it. Happy hunting
