That jerk is the only boss I've cheesed on my no summons run I'm doing with the lordsworn's greatsword. I can get him to 2nd phase, no issue cuz he's similar to that first tree sentinel in Limgrave & I spent like 2 hours fighting that dude so I could beat him at lvl 18 but when the lightening is added, I get my butt kicked. I wish I would've had the stats to try your suggestion!

It's the move that Margit does if you just stand in front of him while he does that entire input. Normally you'd be dead before he actually does that move

​@@whoreblenderFunnily enough I saw that move on my first ever attempt of fighting Margit. Elden Ring was my first souls game and I had just found out that I can block while two handing a weapon so I opted to do that for moves I couldn't dodge at the time. Margit has a ton of moves that annihilate any block with weak guard boost, his hammer moves especially so I saw that move very often because I got scared and got my guard broken constantly. Fast forward to now and every time an experienced player sees that move they all have the same reaction of "I've never seen this move" for something I thought was part of his regular moveset. Shows how little players use blocking instead of rolling.

I’ve seen other people get that move, but I haven’t gotten it myself. It seems to be a combo finisher that he only pulls out if he guard-breaks you.

I like Bushy's new setup. Strangely though, I cannot unsee the background and lighting as some sort of steel mill/foundry. Idk why but that's what it looks like to me, I guess the yellow light reflecting off of everything looks like the glow of fire. Thus, I'm imagining a burning hot factory with a bunch of sweaty, soot-covered workers casting molten metal and then there's just Bushy sitting in a corner playing video games.

3:10:00 Her halberd attacks ARE parriable, it just depends on your positioning. Your shield's hitbox has to be within her weapon's hitbox (which sometimes means stadning quite far away), I guess the mod can't take control of your positioning. I killed her parry only (while allowing myself to dodge)

dunno if bushy ever realizes it but moving cancels your guard counter window. That's why he was getting so befuddled by attacks with less shield stagger. It's actually very long if you stand still

This is actually the same type of gameplay I did during my first run of Elden Ring. Though that was back when guard counters used to cost FP (equal the square off L2), so I ran into the issue of not having enough FP to handle long fights as a result. The removal of FP cost on guard counters truly was a great change looking back.

Scholar's shield spell on fingerprint shield, it can be put on a shield with any affinity applied. It's how I got through Radagon my first playthrough.

Backhand Blades and Swordlance are really good guard counter weapons. BHB has a 4 hit guard counter and Swordlance has a fast one with lots of range and piercing damage.

This reminds me that when I beat Malenia I gave up on trying to dodge the first half of waterfowl dance and just took the damage on a 100% damage negation shield and dodged the last two parts. It was way easier for me to just let her heal that HP than to try to dodge it and risk whiffing.
