This series has become Friday morning appointment viewing for me. And every time you mention skipping the marble race to see the game selection I have the same thought, "Why would anyone want to skip the race with ThaBeast's impeccable commentary?" I just want you to know that you are appreciated!

Obsession in D- is to this day one of my most replayed songs ever. That game had incredible music! Though I'm curious about how it will sound on the N64, since I played the PS1 version with full audio quality.

The Strike game before this one is Soviet Strike (PlayStation/Sega Saturn), and after the game is Future Cop LAPD (used to be a Strike game orignally). I played the PS1 version of this game btw.

I loved Jungle Strike on the Genesis. You could also pilot a stealth bomber, a motorcycle, and hovercraft. It was isometric but somehow felt more 3D than this. It was hard as balls and if you wanted you could blow up the White House.

Marble race spoilers: YES, I grew up with Vigilante! I remember playing that game specifically before even learning how to read. It was just fun driving around with all the maps and the cars. Nostalgic! I can't wait

I was also slightly confused. But also nuclear strike for Playstation came out in 1997 where as nuclear strike 64 came out in 1999.

SNAFU is an acronym that is widely used to stand for the sarcastic expression Situation normal: all f*cked up. It is a well-known example of military acronym slang. It is sometimes censored to "all fouled up" or similar.

The resolutions are probably "Medium" and "Low" because the N64 did have a rarely used 640i mode that would´ve been High Resolution. There are very few examples of games actually using that resolution though, with Vigilante 8 probably being the best known example, and even that one required you to enter a Cheatcode to even enable it. But I agree that it´s still odd to label them as Medium and Low if they are the only available Options.

I played all of these helicopter Strike games on Genesis and was stoked for the next generation. Nuclear Strike was the game I bought a nicer computer graphics card for and it was incredible. The N64 graphics look considerably worse than PC, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless! Thanks for the great series and the good times!

Only 200 more. I'm glad you have the push to continue this. There's a kid online saying he's doing this with every PlayStation 1 game I think he's two games in but he doesn't realize they have thousands in their library. I did the math and it would take him years and years like 30 to finish and that's if he played one game everyday. Lol I think you were the first one to pick the right set of games. Just wanted to say that the PS1 version of Nuclear Strike released in September 1997. The N64 version released in November 1999.

Shame these games never took off in the 3d era, greatly enjoyed Jungle and Desert strike. These games were popular after Desert storm which brought alot of attention to the AH 64 Apache gunship. Back then this was one of the more mature military games popular with older audiences and military hobbyists. Lots of dads were playing the strike games at night while the kids played Mario in the day haha.

NS 64 doesnt seem too bad but V8 2nd Offense was one of me and a buddies favorite games to play through together since you can co-op the campaign and stuff. We unlocked everything and play the heck outta it. Hopefully its as good as I remember though because it could have been a fluke we liked it so much XD

The prequel, jungle strike, its days better than this. You get to pilot planes, bikes hovercrafts and the missions are way better.

Its remarkable how much better this game was on Playstation 1. Not even getting the live action cutscenes and even more janky graphical effects is pretty jarring after playing this 20+ years ago, i still remember most of it.
