The Strike game before this one is Soviet Strike (PlayStation/Sega Saturn), and after the game is Future Cop LAPD (used to be a Strike game orignally). I played the PS1 version of this game btw.

I loved Jungle Strike on the Genesis. You could also pilot a stealth bomber, a motorcycle, and hovercraft. It was isometric but somehow felt more 3D than this. It was hard as balls and if you wanted you could blow up the White House.

The resolutions are probably "Medium" and "Low" because the N64 did have a rarely used 640i mode that would´ve been High Resolution. There are very few examples of games actually using that resolution though, with Vigilante 8 probably being the best known example, and even that one required you to enter a Cheatcode to even enable it. But I agree that it´s still odd to label them as Medium and Low if they are the only available Options.

I played all of these helicopter Strike games on Genesis and was stoked for the next generation. Nuclear Strike was the game I bought a nicer computer graphics card for and it was incredible. The N64 graphics look considerably worse than PC, but I hope you enjoyed it nonetheless! Thanks for the great series and the good times!

Shame these games never took off in the 3d era, greatly enjoyed Jungle and Desert strike. These games were popular after Desert storm which brought alot of attention to the AH 64 Apache gunship. Back then this was one of the more mature military games popular with older audiences and military hobbyists. Lots of dads were playing the strike games at night while the kids played Mario in the day haha.

NS 64 doesnt seem too bad but V8 2nd Offense was one of me and a buddies favorite games to play through together since you can co-op the campaign and stuff. We unlocked everything and play the heck outta it. Hopefully its as good as I remember though because it could have been a fluke we liked it so much XD
