This boss is gwyn and the players from all darksouls in one boss that is why he had many builds. He can also heal and parry you. He becomes a pushover if you are well equiped and leveled up, but is veryhard on Sl1. If you wish to fight a harder version you can try convergence mod which makes this boss a beast with extra moves and changes others like pontiff and wolnir.

I like the lore around this boss, the piano theme from Gwyn is such a nice touch, although I don't know Gwyn's moveset that much so I didn't really see the similarities, I actually enjoyed the different weapon and classes, also the back-flips are crazy HAHAHA I just seen a video of someone trying to critical him after a stagger and get parried, luckily for me I didn't get parried, to be honest a few bosses can counter critical with parries but I've always been lucky to never get the critical animation on them for some reason and always get a basic R1 even when standing right in front. I don't think he healed during my fight, I've also been lucky with this! I'll definitely be tempted to try some mods after I've played through the DLC's, I also got some ideas of videos with challenge runs and maybe some mobs/boss build run, like Ornstein or Outrider Knights for example. Theres one more area in the base game that i dont think youve been to yet. Back in irithyll dungeon, go to the little outside part next to the room where you found the dark witch lady (i forgot her name) use the path of the dragon emote that you got after oceiros next to the dragon on the mat

OMG That's where I got the Dragon Torso Stone ??? I remember seeing a message saying try gesture but I didn't have it back then... I completely forgot about that.. I'll check it out later today, thank you for your comment!

wait a little, before the DLC, you still have 1 more area to play. it has a boss that many consider to be the hardest in the base game, but since you played ER then i think you won't have a problem with it. remember path of the dragon? the emote. there is a place in irithyll dungeon to use it, next to the elevator, next to a punch of drgons and statues who are doing it. also, heres a little lore about soul of cinders: he's literally me, and yes it is canon. also, you kind of missed an item in the grand archives, a titanite slap, its in the library in a path that you opened with the leaver.

Hey thank you for your comment! It has been brought to my attention that I missed an area of the game. I've recorded and went trough the area and well.. *SPOILERS* It did go as you expected. Soul of Cinder is very cool and I like what it represents although I wish it had a cutscene tbh! I'll be sure to go through the Grand Archives again! I'll probably include the missed item/items in the first DLC video since I've already went through and recorded the Archdragon Peak.

@@Syke3886 I mostly got empty because I completed the game, but after editing and re-watching the fight, hearing Gwyn's theme and reading the boss soul, it did accentuate the empty feeling.
