I doubt you will see this, but I can’t begin to thank you enough for the joy and smile your content puts on my face. My son is currently in the hospital and just came out of surgery last night. While he is resting this is my escape from everything bad. Thanks Case. (Update: We have been home for around two weeks and my son made a full recovery, thank you to everyone who sent positive vibes!)

hey case, you were wondering about what happens if you get caught: when you get caught, you have to convince the officer to not take you in, otherwise you’ll get arrested and your run is over. convincing the neighborhood watch is harder than convincing the citizens, so you’ve gotta amp the manipulation up to a 23. if you successfully convince the officer, he’ll let you go, but on a last chance basis. you can get caught by any other officer then EXCEPT the one who just caught you. if you get caught by the same officer twice, it’s an immediate game over with no chance to explain.

Dev here! Thanks for the explaination, though the part about getting caught back-to-back by the same Frank causing an auto lose condition certainly isn't something we designed. I'll look into that to see if it's happening, and if so it's a bug. Little known fact: if you can get free from that conversation, you have a small window of time to bite the officer and get one piece of his outfit ;]
