@Toby Bromley no, there’s 3 ways: 1. already have an op character and load the world in, place a chest, and put your god tier items in the chest and then bring your new character in that world and take the items off the chest and equip the items 2. spawn in items with t-edit 3. spawn in items using the terraria workshop or terrasvr none of these require hacking or coding as far as im aware

just a tip, you can build a house in the underworld, set the guide to live there, then break the floor. if he falls in lava the wall of flesh summons. the guide voodoo doll just makes it more comfertable
