Yeah. This is EXACTLY how you're supposed to play the game. This is what I do of course I'm not as skilled as Romero but when guys annoy you with specific things, then you have to counter them and the best way to counter a submission hunter is to grapple with him and try to submit him also.

Gotta say, I know it’s deemed as cheese but this guy actually has a super high level understanding of wrestling that many players could never achieve, it’s pretty impressive he get to #1 in the world doing this and proves a massive element of skill, or he simply wouldn’t be #1 , it’s pretty much the khabib of the UFC world. Even more impressive is Romero dismantling him like this. This is levels.

Khadaff93 is another annoying clinch Spammer but at online career. I fought 3 times with him won twice(on my board 3 times but the judges gave him the first fight even tho he only threw 5 strikes in 3 rounds. He also ain't hä much more control time.) in the next 2 fights I spammed the cross like a maniac and kept holding low block. Theese clinch spammers sck bad. EA needs to do something like they did in ufc 4 at the moment this game is not enjoyable there are way to many exploits at this time that I write this comment😢

I’m sorry but this game allows people to cheese instead of getting good. I never looked at the leaderboards unless it was fightnight campion. All EA sports UFC games, the top rank fighters were always people who cheese or abuse a broken mechanic or system in the game. It has always been that way that’s why a player who is rated number one or top 10 were almost always some cheeseball who enjoy making a fun game feel like work, because it’s work dealing with these knuckleheads. This guy had no “Stand up game” or ground game . His whole tactic was trying to get a submission win because it’s that OP. Only skills it required is memorizing transitions so they can block you before trying to sink their sub in. You can literally keep someone in the armbar and stillmate it. You can hammer fist them until they are brutally cut and give them low head health. The ref doesn’t stand you up lol it’s ridiculous.

Hey man off topic but I was watching a ufc 5 review and the guy said that a bunch of subs were removed from the game such as the omoplata, gogoplata, Japanese necktie, windshield choke, etc. I don’t have the have the game so can you confirm or deny this info???? Thanks

They pretty much kept the chokes in that were higher percentage in MMA/more common to see in transition. I'd like to see the necktie return as a contextual, and a few others like the Twister being it's own 3 stage transition sub but IDK.
