The thing is with these types of restaraunts, even if there was one bloke who payed $11 for all you can eat and ate 20 plates of food, there are 20 others who payed the same and only ate 1-2.

@Richard Dockery matt does, you don't understand, for every hotdog you have to eat one hotdog bun, so if you are eating 2 hotdogs at once, you have to eat two hotdog buns. this isn't science. if matt eats 50 hotdogs, he has to eat 50 buns.

I feel its because the brits show it how it is for sure. And stateside, I think It's because US shows are very selective with their editing process, so they can make a good person look bad quite literally. and the people on the show are told to run through what they will say beforehand in most cases.

I mean, sure it'd feel good to "get your money's worth", but honestly I think you should go to a buffet to relax, enjoy the variety, and eat the foods you like. The food comes out the other end in the next morning anyway, and the only thing you're gaining in the long run is a few inches around the waist.
@Caeso1332

So sure the day he was banned he was five bowls in but he could have been in twice a week for 15 bowls for three months beforehand. I like the attitude of Mores though, what matters is a healthy margin average, some will eat more, some less. The average is key.

Rule of thumb in a successful buffet foray is : be properly hydrated b4 u start...survey b4 you eat...avoid all carbs while eating...go for the really expensive dishes like seafood...then the more expensive beef and pork...a lot of veggies to go wd your food...finally drsert is open season.

At a buffet, I typically go for 3 quality meat and/or seafood entrees and one small carb serving per plate of which I generally eat 3 to 4 heaping plates at one sitting. Then I’ll visit the fresh fruit bar and load up a plate for dessert. And I only drink water at a buffet. My family says it’s cheaper to buy me a custom made suit than to feed me. 🤣
