No mono mix here. By 1969, mono mixes were becoming a thing of the past. I'm surprised that the White Album (1968) had both a mono and stereo mix.

Just the impact they had on producing music, 16 trsck.32 track recordings, different gage strings that are now a standard. all their shit was done in something like 6 years, Lennon and McCarteny Eventually never worked but also worked better than anyone, Came to terms with how clever Beatles eludes to? The Radio needs to come back, Listening to albums could definitely straighten us out, classic rock makes sense to everyone. Freebird comes on and our flag waves to shreds

true.....but let's keep in mind that this is a record purchased 55 years ago, this is the very first pressing (the one with the apple moved to the back cover) released on 09/26/1969.....and for me it's a thrill to see it spin every time on the turntable, if then it has one or two skips...well....patience, the sound is always unrivaled....

Can any sentient being on this planet understand why Gilles and co. would agree to remix this example of near perfection? It's a losing effort, no matter who might try. Sometimes the historic, original, universally recognised classic is simply impossible to improve upon. It's an embarrassment that they tried. Each time you change the volume, placement of or EQ of a single item, you change it's relationship to everything else. Before long, you have created a quagmire of too loud minor sound effects, bass heavy tracks and diminished vocal impact. In short, you have removed the "fairy dust", or magic that helped the raw tracks become iconic. How do you sleep after doing that? In this one instance, could you not have offered a new, but ALL analogue reissue, direct from the master tape, while admitting there was NO chance a remix would improve a damn thing? All of the bonus material could still have been mixed in any way you chose, and the packaging could have been just as deluxe, but you would have had the extra praise and gratitude of the VAST majority of Beatles fans, and you would have been honouring the brilliance of your late father at the same time. I'll bet you would sleep better for it.
