I eliminated the 2nd and 3rd verses and shortened the outro. This is a 1966 Gretsch Country Gentleman played through a Vox AD15VT set to AC30TB w/ no effects. Min Bass, Min Mid, Max Treble. .010 -.046 nickel plated wire wound strings. Lennon’s part is the upper guitar which he played on his Ric 325. Harrison is the lower guitar and he used his Country Gentleman. George Martin played the piano. The studio tracks were about 15 cents flat so I pitch corrected them for this mix. I used a couple of live performance videos, the original studio tracks and the Decca audition version as my research sources. No tabs.
My videos are really intended for accomplished guitarists who want to polish up their Beatles repertoire and can benefit from "seeing" how a song is played - I am not a guitar teacher and do not provide tabs. I welcome specific questions. If the various chords that I am playing are not familiar to you then I would suggest that you visit some of the many free guitar chord sites. I had to learn these songs by listening to vinyl records and watching live performances on tv.

Great video. just subscribed a day or two ago and will start going thru and checking out the vids. Was in a band back in the 70's, did a full hour Beatles set. Maybe now I can see how wrong I was playing the songs. LOL. Thanks again.

During the outro I would’ve thought at least George was playing the riff when they did it live but you’ve got his part just playing chords. Maybe Paul was responsible for continuing the riff through the outro? Or am I remembering the outro wrong?

My videos are based on the studio recordings not live performances. George Martin played the riff on piano.

Good job on the song :) but I have one question what do you mean by min bass or min mid

If you look up the amp you will see that there are tone controls for bass, mid range and treble. The knobs for the bass & mid range are set to the MINimum position & the treble knob is set to MAXimum position.

Do you think you will ever get a rickenbacker 325?

No. I am focused on documenting how to play lead guitar on Beatles songs not collecting guitars. The Ric 325 is a 3/4 scale guitar and I have large hands. Some folks think that having the guitars will magically make them sound like the original artist - it won't. The technique plus the guitar will get you close. Watch my video of She's A Woman & also of Lennon's lead in Long Tall Sally. Close your eyes and you'll be hard pressed to hear the difference!

If you've ever shopped for strings the package usually has the high E string size (in inches) and the low E string size (in inches).
