I took a tape of a song I wrote to Apple in 1968/9 for possible use with Mary Hopkin. I was told by the girl who handed me back the cassette that Paul had listened to it over a dozen times.Long and Winding Road was released same year,It was many years after that I realised the "similarity"between the two songs,in melody,subject matter,feel etc.
