Thanks for the tutorial, Doug. I was hoping that you or Jakob would do something in depth on BM3 as I've been struggling with it since I bought it I was rapidly reaching the conclusion that MPC format music apps don't work for my workflow. I'm much more a Cubasis type of guy. However, your video has shown me greater possibilities and so I'll persevere.

I wish a Drumbroker.com or a Splice would team-up with Beatmaker and offer their packs right from within BeatMaker 3. It’s such a hassle downloading and transferring before you can chop samples. It’d be nice if they could offer samples in that format that automatically timestretches, too. The packs from Intua aren’t conducive to lo-if hip hop and there aren’t that many to begin with.

beatmaker 1 was one of the first iphone apps i bought but i got really burnt when 2 came out and all my kits weren’t compatible. it’s not a cheap app to buy all over again... i’d be interested if you think bm3 is better than impc2. to me the interface of impc looks a lot more clear to use.

More WibblyWobbly! We all know the mighty John Carpenter wasn't above a tasty bit of WibblyWobbly in his spooky soundtracks. Great track, plus a nice demo of the versatility of BM3 👍

Qustion. Do AU V3 take up less cpu than Inter- App Audio in BM3. Thanks
@TheSoundTestRoom7 жыл бұрын
Hi, it depends on what app you are using but realistically the answer is no, they use about the same, some AUv3s are very powerful, like Kaspar and use a lot of CPU, so if I use more than one I usually Freeze it in Cubasis, not sure if BM3 has a freeze but I'll check, one cool thing though is that at the moment BM3 is the only iOS DAW that supports Automation on AUv3

All your vids are great and appreciate your time, I have a question though... I don't have an Ipad yet and want to know if maybe the Ipad mini 2 with the A7 chipset would be sufficient for these apps. At this point I can't afford an Ipad pro. Would also like to connect my Akai mpk mini 2 to use as my midi. Any help is great. Thanks
@antfactor6 жыл бұрын
I think the Mini-2 would be ok - but one could contact Intua for minimum specs. Also, the app store will usually tell you if said app is compatible with your device. iOS 9.3 min. I think you'll be fine - generally.
