After Beatmania CompleteMix2 released, Konami spent some time trying to figure out what the Beatmania series would be. While Beatmania IIDX, Beatmania 3, and a variety of Beatmania 5 key spinoffs were doing their thing, Konami also released 3 Beatmania typing games, one of which was for the PS2. This is Beatmania Da Da Da, the Bemani typing game!

Does this game have hi-speed setting? As a Beatmania player, I felt this game looks hard because the notes scroll down so slow.

There’s another thing that makes that game really hard, the keyboard is locked in qwerty. This was not made for another market than the Japanese one i think

I think I remember also seeing a game themed around pop’n music with similar gameplay (i.e. all the buttons are keys on a keyboard, occasional breaks to type a phrase out). Man, what was with this era and turning anything into a typing game?

I think I tried to get one of the PC releases working back in my BEMANI heyday in the early 2000s? I mean an interesting concept in line with SEGA's Typing of the Dead. But yeah probably not executed nearly as well as SEGA's for sure. (especially in the case of full sentence mode)
