Your guitar, resonates like a church bell - rich, clear, and full of depth. You have and enviable crystal tone. Simple exercises, practiced slowly and with conscious repetition, are the key. Don’t rush ahead before mastering the basics. Most of us are impatient, eager to skip the hard work and build strength in the process. But shortcuts rarely yield results-unless you’re a John Williams, Julian Bream, or Segovia! For the rest of us, patience and perseverance are essential. Take your time; it will pay off with confidence and success in the long run.

It works on my ukulele. Also, on my 2 concert ukuleles, I loose tone if I play close to the fret. Playing near the middle between frets improves the tone.

That's a good idea, putting the fingers on the frets. I teach guitar for 38 years but never thought of that so...... thanks.

I used to do this a lot a few years ago and it helps a lot. I haven’t done it for a while and it shows on the video quite well how difficult it is to be that precise 😀 I can highly recommend it!

Did you just call me a "loser"?! Edit: Actually when playing the classical I play with my fingers... and a lot of things I do on the electric or bass is played fingerstyle as well. I am just not deep into classical guitar... yet. And that's where you come in! Thank you so much for the lessons and knowledge. This will help a lot with the classical guitar side of me! Cheers!!!

Because I am not a professional player, practicing is an escape and a joy. If I had 8 hours to practice, it would not be a problem, so all I have to do is doing it right
@beatrixguitarКүн бұрын
I totally agree, but actually even though I'd have the time to practice more exercises, I just don't want to :D I like to keep it simple and packed, this is why I think it's good to find simple, easy to memorize exercises for both hobby and professional players

I was looking to treat myself to a new guitar next year. The one I was thinking about was a TATYANA RYZHKOVA SPECIAL EDITION BLACK LIMBA (SPRUCE TOP). However, it seems that the luthier (Raimundo Guitars) has ceased making guitars. Or is this incorrect?

Why dont you mute the ringing from the other strings?

"picking with a pick loser" 🤣🤣

If I practice this I’d be obsessed with muting the resonating strings. They drive me bonkers :(. Probably by resting my thumb.

I think about doing some exercises, but my teacher tells me that it's comepletely useless. Like why do you need that at all, if you can do this exercises on the context of any composition? If you want something to learn - take a composition, which contains that and do it like an exercise. What do you think about this statement?

Bea, I'd be very interested to know what your action measurements are at the top E and the bottom. I really like your videos. They are genuine, charming and disarmingly light. I'm a gloomy guitarist, your videos are the opposite to what I do. It is what it is, this is what people say these days. Enjoyed this, as I enjoy most of your videos. But still curious as to that action.

Well it is currently almost 7mm on the 6th string at 12th fret, but that’s not ideal 😅 I’ve been meaning to go and get it fixed but this holiday season is so busy 🫠
