I want to thank you. My beats died after 18 months. Apple wanted $$$ so i brought the replacement battery from Amazon $13 incl shipping. Then followed the steps; i used my hair dryer in leu of...worked well! Headphones are now holding a charge & working now. Thanks a million :)

Thank you bro! I have studio 3s that I just fixed. I guess they caught on to people trying to do cheap repairs and started making it alot hard. They put some plastic hooks instead of glue. Or just adding lots of glue to some areas so your just melting away for a while until you can get stiff loose enough to come out. Still as long as you are careful with a heat gun and patient it will work 👌👌

Thanks, your instructional video. It is great and helped me save the headphones. One suggestion, it might be helpful, as the black plug at the end of the battery wire is totally covered in black glue, to mention that it is horizontally plugged into the circuit board. I confess I did not notice this when viewing the video and was not certain whether I should pull horizontally or vertically to unplug the dead battery. Thanks again...

Nice work Joe - I followed this to successfully change out a defective battery that failed less than a week out of warrenty (and minimal use). One thing I would add is that my battery cable was held in with clips instead of glue - small nail clippers did a perfect job. Thanks #Subscribed

Hi, I wanted to ask if you've ever replaced a battery for the solo pros? I just bought some (pre-owned) and they do charge 100% but only last about 1½ hours. So I'm assuming it's a battery issue.

what else could I use to heat the glue besides a heat gun or a soldering iron?

possibly a hair dryer, but be carful it could melt the plastic because the heat isn't as concentrated.

HI guys, thanks for producing theses repairs videos. Here's a question about the Studio 3 unit. Mine is completely dead, no power light even when connected to charger. Could it be a dead battery or they should power up (showing lightning) when connected to charger even if the battery is dead ? On my usb tester I get 5.05 V and 0.30 amp when connected. Thanks :-)

@Joesge Жыл бұрын
Its most likley either the speaker is going bad or the speaker wire is ripping. I will leave a link to the video on how to replace your speaker, and a video showing how to replace the left inside panel. The inside panel video will show a red and white wire in it. That is the speaker wire. We sell replacements on our website. Please feel free to reach out with any quesations. If you dont feel like doing the repair yourself, you can send it into us! Most likley there is some sort of short or tear in the main internal wire, but it could also be one of the boards. Please email us at support@joesge.com with your question.
