So cool to see the artifacts from Queen Anne's Revenge. It's amazing they were discovered 250 years after the ship sank, Thanks for another great video.

Thanks for sharing! No other museum we saw on the Loop had such a great Hologram set up like that. And especially with the actor saying things from Blackbeards journal, it was just about the best!

That maritime museum looks so interesting! I know we (unfortunately) won’t ever make it there by boat, but I’m going to add that to my list of stuff we’d like to do on our next road trip to the east coast. And I loved seeing that “Atlantide” yacht - magnificent. I looked up a bunch of photos (interior and exterior) and it apparently had a MAJOR 2-year refit that was completed in November. Looks like it’s for sale …next boat for Mark & Mel, maybe? 😂😂😂

Hahaha...that's awesome you found out all the info about that boat! And that's a great idea to add to your road trip - it's truly a great museum AND great town! We could have stayed a couple more days to see more! We never took the ferry to the island with wild horses and we would do that 👍

3:54 Beaufort was a beautiful place to stop in May. Homer Smith didn’t have room for us so across the river we stayed at Town Creek with a courtesy car. We walked down to the boardwalk and the Farmers Market. Great Video

Stomping grounds as a single marine ‘74-‘77 ! Gave fits to police one night about 3.oo am & “ enjoyed “ green bologna sandwiches for breakfast - no mayo or mustard , lol ! Didn’t go back for a year cuz I didn’t enjoy th chiefs hospitality ! lol ! Took my 1st wife to dinner in one of their excellent restaurants for our 5 th anniversary while I was stationed at Camp Lejeune !

Atlantide is a custom motor yacht launched in 1930 by Philip & Sons. Atlantide measures 37.28 metres in length, with a max draft of 2.71 metres and a beam of 5.46 metres. She has a gross tonnage of 137 tonnes. Atlantide has a steel hull with an aluminium / teak superstructure. I copy/pasted it! lol

The history of Pirates and so many Pirate ships being sunk off the coast here, is fascinating, and the reason so many boats stay away from the schoals. Check more history about it here👇 herenorthcarolinahistory.org/encyclopedia/the-pirate-blackbeard
