Wanted one of these for a long time, just didn't want to spend the money. Your tutorial was great. Very easy to follow. I'm gonna make mine with very small pleats for my smocking projects. I'm going to allow myself to make it over a couple days so all the lines and scoring wont drive me insane. Thanks again! I LOVE IT!

OMFREAKIN-G!! Better than pleating individually by hand, far-FAR cheaper than buying a machine (or tool). Genius. I can't believe how diy still manages to astound me.

I have to thank you very much for putting this tutorial online. I was about to despair, because I can't find anywhere pleated chiffon fabric. And all those Pleating Machines are very expensive! Now i found your tutorial and you just made my life way easier! I am going to pleat the chiffon myself with your method. :) I hope it works well. Again, thank you so much!! *___*

Yeah I'd say poster board is slightly too think, you want the edges to be as crisp as possible. You can get lining paper from a DIY store in the wallpaper section. Really cheap and loads of it on a roll incase it takes a couple of goes to get right. Good luck!
