hi friends! update for you! this was filmed before some news came out that i wanted to leave a pinned comment about. in light of recent events i’m no longer comfortable showcasing ensley reign so consider the palettes i shared from them not part of my collection anymore. i’ve already told the brand to get rid of my code. it’s recently come out that the brand is transphobic which i have zero tolerance for. if you’d like more info i highly encourage checking out luran.blends instagram story highlight.

I have almost all of Kaleidos’ older palettes, including the Escape Pod, and I will always cherish them. I’m just missing the Sci-Fi Green palette (which I really wanted) that got discontinued on my face, and the VR Neon. I really wish they’d go back to creating fun, vibrant colors and their stunning highlighters and blushes, instead of the muted quads and palettes they’re doing now. The only products I still enjoy from them are their lip glosses and lip clays. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve shopped on their website since they discontinued the Futurism collection entirely.

I used to buy a lot of Colourpop and I was going through my stash recently and realized that some of their shadows "went off." Like they completely lost their color pay off. I don't think I've ever had that happen with another palette before. So strange. Anyway, something to consider for all the Colourpop purchasing people out there. Also, I've completely switched over to buying indie shadows and I have to say that my Ensley Reign palette "Cold Moon" is my favorite. Can't wait to get "Light in Your Eyes" palette in the mail. It's such a gorgeous color story.

Hey Batty just a question? Have you used pixelated pulse from cyborg choir yet?? Omg i did an all blue look with a byop of realm of fairies and i used that shade it literally glows on the eye that palette is folled with amazing shades but that one is one of the best except the shades with holos fall off the eye and sometimes got in my eye so id bought the glitter glue and now that doesnt really happen. But that shade i just fell head over heels for it may be no it is my favorite blue holochrome 🎄🫶✨️

Oh, today I'm tackling my hoard of singles, small palettes and loose eyeshadows. I managed to take some shades from my Asgard Queen Sacred Fire palette and fit all the pressed eyeshadow in just one four layered palette from Ve cosmetics (I love it, looks like a spell book) so I went from 9 palettes to 6. Yes I'm counting full boxes of loose pigments and a four layer magnetic palette as single eyepalettes. Is that cheating? Probably. Do I care? NOPE!!!! XDDD

I don’t know what happened to shroud, but I am glad you didn’t totally get rid of your palettes from them. At the same time seems like a very healthy choice to remove them from the general population. Hopefully things won’t stay this way and maybe sometime in the future the situation will be such that your collabs will bring you joy again. I can’t say I know what you are going through but it broke my heart a little to hear you talk about it. Sometimes a little space and time does a lot. Hang in there!!!

I understand that the owner of shroud probably has personal issues going on, but she is still selling the hallobean pallet on her site. It's really icky that she's not communicating with Betty Jean and very unprofessional on top of that. It makes me wonder if she is even paying Betty Jean for her portion of the collab. I don't think I could buy from her after this even if she came out with an apology/ excuse.

I'm going to be honest... I'm not saying you're being insensitive, but it comes off as such. I understand being dissapointed about Shroud not getting back to you, but you don't really know if something is going on preventing them from doing so. Illness, family issues, home life issues-- no one knows. It's probably not best to make it seem like it's a personal issue and just removing the palettes from your collection. There's a part of me that understands how you feel, but also a part of me that feels like it's a bit drastic. I don't mean any of it in a mean way, I'm a huge fan of yours, just trying to offer perspective.

I never ever ever said anything to dismiss her? I know she’s been going through her own personal stuff and I’ve said repeatedly that I wish her nothing but the absolute best. I considered her one of my absolute closest friends for years and it just makes me incredibly sad and heartbroken how everything went down and it makes more sense for ME to move them into a keepsake box. This wasn’t just a “drastic” snap decision, this is something that’s been weighing on me for over a YEAR.
