Zaanse Schans is just a short train ride from Amsterdam,it's a lovely place with windmills,clog makers,cheese makers etc,like a working museum,great for photos with the green and white houses.

Hi Andrew &Laura if you wanted your mum & dad to visit Amsterdam a really nice time to go is the spring when you fly in over the tulip fields all in stripes beautiful colors & not usually as cold . I’m sure they would love it . There’s a free tram that goes up & down from the station so they could get on & off when they wanted . It’s truly a wonderful place .

Andrew, as a Dutch living in the Netherlands............. In general NO tipping, I only do it on a diner, and then just round it up to the next round amount. Regarding Amsterdam, and then the real city-centre of Amsterdam is the most expensive area.

Amsterdam is beautiful. I live in a small town in the UK. The area was drained by the Dutch back in the 1700s. Unfortunately the local authority has trashed the town, and there isn't much left the reflects the Dutch heritage. It needs the bulldozers in so it can be rebuilt to reflect that heritage and bring people into the area.

If you are doing museums, go to "Anne Franks" house. Maybe not one to vlog (or maybe it is I don't know), but it's certainly very interesting and also very moving. Incredible how she and her family hid in the house during the German occupation in WW2. We love Amsterdam. Been a few times and will definitely go again. Great vlogs thanks
