Love that you do the yogurt with raw milk 🤩🙌🏻🩷 If you use a gallon of raw milk and add only two teaspoons of yogurt from your previous batch you’ll get very thick yogurt with no need to strain it. You need 24 hours at 100° to incubate in whatever vessel but it’s so Lovely and so easy! When it’s been 24 hours, you mix with a whisk and pour into your jars, set in fridge like you normally do, it sets up in the fridge overnight as it cools but is plenty thick right out of the pan. The reason why it only takes 1 teaspoon of yogurt per half gallon is because any more than that will crowd out the good bacteria that makes the yogurt, that results in runnier yogurt. So if you like it middle ground/not as thick as Greek yogurt you can add more of your yogurt culture to achieve the thickness you want. The 1 teaspoon measurement is such a small amount that it allows for expansion in the raw milk. Also, Raw milk has its own good bacteria in it and too much add will crowd out the pan that way too, making it runnier. And if you like it very creamy and lusciously thick you can add a quart more cream, the cream will rise to the top as the yogurt is cultured. I whisk it all back in till smooth and pour in jars. I add more cream to what already comes with Jersey milk for my kids especially 🥰🩷. We just used our yogurt to make your smoothie bowls that we saw you make. Made for dinner on Friday night, loved them! Loving your content so much and appreciate your fun food ideas. You’re the best of the best! My two year old says “look mama it’s Steph! Let’s watch her make dough 🩷
