You shouldn’t let him suck his thumb like that he’ll get an infection. Put hot sauce on his thumb or something really sour/bitter. Or wrap his hands and feet up so he can’t suck his toes either. It’s a coping mechanism.

A beautiful sweet baby. Her mother will never get to see her, hold her, teach her. I hope you are holding baby to your chest and giving much affection, calm talking. Lots of soft fluffy things to hold and rest upon. This particular video is especially good as it is very close up--humans, look how very very similar facial expressions are to human baby. Relaxed. Looking hungry. Drinking peacefully. After feeding watch her eyes and watch how she sucks her thumb. She looks concerned, worried, and eventually anxious. Just like human baby. She is not a human baby. So sweet! She belongs with her mom and troop. We need to enjoy and admire these babies in their mothers arms, from good lens of camera. Respect and let nature be the home, as is the way of things. Not human captivity. So dear and captivating.

Kathy Anderson, you said it just right, captivity is the word. Monkeys belong with monkeys! Not humans!!! Raising monkeys with humans, without their own kind, causes them to have irreparable psychological damage & can cause them to be depressed, all the days of their life. Monkeys cannot be domesticated & anything done to try & do so, causes them extreme psychological distress. Please do the right thing for this precious baby monkey & surrender him to a Sanctuary for Monkeys so that he can be placed with a monkey mommy who will nurse him & teach him all he needs to know about being a monkey. At the sanctuary he will have a monkey family so that he can be raised to be what he is, a monkeys, climbing in trees, running & playing with monkeys his own age. Show less

What are your plans when this baby grows to be an adolescent? It won’t know how to act like a monkey being raised by humans. If you release it into a troop it will most likely be shunned or worse killed. Take it now to a rescue / reserve where it can be raised kite a monkey, not a human….BTW the thumb sucking is signs of insecurity, baby’s this age are still clinging to their mothers 24/7

When it matures , it will have huge fangs.....they get big and usually dumped somewhere to fend for themselves . Keeping as pets damages them psychologically...and they don't wear clothes in the wild......these people STOLE this baby......should be locked up and then throw away the keys !!!!!!!

And once a monkey gets older & independent, they will no longer comply with the owner. They will bite even their beloved adult mommy, also they’ll bite their children & other family members, they will also attack the owner.

♦The majority of the time, baby monkeys, which were taken when they’re first born, are usually dumped back into the forest when they get too older & they are no longer cute for the cameras & this to their peril, they will either starve to death, because they have no skills to forage or they will be killed by the leaders of the troop, in which they have been dumped, because they are considered an interloper.

Man it kills me how so many people in this comment section, and just how many people in general watch these videos and are stupid enough to be fooled by these disgusting excuses for human beings and what they do to these monkeys. You people do realize that the 1st video on their channel of "Aba" is about 24 hours after she was born....which means these people did what they do to every one of these poor creatures, they Murdered his mom and Poached him all to make money off KZbin content. When he's about 10 months old and no longer cute & adorable, they will drive him to the nearest temple and DUMP him....and WITHOUT DOUBT, poor little Aba will be RUTHLESSLY RIPPED TO F**KING SHREDS by the first troop that seeks him. And after they dump him, he might last a day, mayyyybe 2 before he is spotted by a wild Alpha Male....so I just want you people to think about this, that poor little boy will spend that 24-48hours going insane (literally), he will spend that time crying and crying and crying until he literally loses his voice, he'll spend that time cowering balled up in a cold dark corner somewhere, starving, miserable, and calling for a mother that will NEVER SHOW UP (because these people Murdered her of course). Then they will find another Pregnant Mother, watch her until she gives birth, then murder her and steal her newborn, then the EXACT SAME process will start all over again. Allll of it for KZbin content to make some money. So remember that before you subscribe to their channel. Because if you subscribe, you are undoubtedly aiding in everything I just explained to you. ♦I will be totally shocked if this monkey does not get dumped back into the forest as soon as it is no longer a cute baby doll for their videos. That is usually what happens to these monkeys. They don’t take these monkeys for a lifelong pet. They take them as a commodity, to show on videos, on the Internet and as was said before, as soon as they get older, they are no longer considered cute and they get dumped back into the forest, to fend for themselves. They don’t know how to forage & feed themselves, so they cry because they’re hungry. After all, there will be no one there to fix them a bottle, and they will be continually looking for their human mommy and crying, until the leader of the troop, in which they have been dumped, gets tired of their crying & kills them .
