My husband and I have had baby girl names selected since we started dating nearly 12 years ago, but we’ve only settled on a possible boy’s name last week 😂 plus it’s hard for me because I’m a teacher, and it’s inevitable you’ll end up with names you just associate with a student and it feels weird to consider them for your own baby... we’ll start trying for a baby soon (I need surgery for endometriosis first) so it’s been lovely watching your videos since I’m also getting into that headspace!!

I can relate to not wanting to use names you associate with other people - I particularly think it's odd when people choose really common names. I also love that you're thinking of your baby as a future adult - that was hugely important in my process too. Whilst I changed my own name at 15 and was open to my kids doing the same I wanted to pick something they (hopefully) wouldn't be desperate to ditch because it didn't fit. My girls are Erin Ciara (24) and Kathleen Taran (21).

As a Juliette this is the first time I've seen a non French person spelling it like that ! Also little fun fact, I LOVED watching the Swan Princess when I was a kid because the heroine's name in the French version is Juliette and not Odette. I really love all the names you listed. I've always been a fan of the names Garrett (spelled exactly like so) and Guinevere. I'm also a big fan of unique names that I've "thought up" (but obviously probably exist already) like Nymia. Few other faves are Caleb, Keith, Robin, Codi, Skye, Adelaide and Meredith. Of your list I super love Imogen and Joel. Of course, I work with a Joel so that may have something to do with it. And I had a bit of an issue with a Charles while in school, so while I love Charlie as a girl's name, Charles would probably never happen. I love that you have an explanation for why you love them all. Most of mine I just love the way they sound. I've never run into anyone with any of the names I like (except Robin. It's my mom's name and one of the guys in my graduating class spelled it the same, so it's unisex) which is a big deciding factor for me too as I don't want them to have one that's difficult to pronounce or spell, but I also don't want it to be something super common like Josh, Alex, Brittany or Megan/Meghan/Meagan/etc. I also really love unisex names (Obviously... Skye, Codi, Robin. Also Sage, Quinn and stuff like Lex, Jaz, and Dax). Names have interested me for years and even if I never have kids I have a never-ending character names list, lol.

All beautiful names! 💜 My husband and I have had the opposite problem with boy/girl names. We agree on several boy names and come up with them fairly easily. Even before I got pregnant, we decided that Fox was the winner for a boy. Well, turns out we're having a girl. I was worried that we'd never agree on a girl's name because we have hated each other's suggestions in the past. One day I mentioned that I've always liked the name Lucy, and to my surprise, my husband said he loves that name. Even more miraculous, I said I liked the middle name Helen (Helen was my grandmother's middle name) and he liked that too. So, Lucy Helen it is! Now we just have to wait another 21 weeks to meet her. 😂

My sister was obsessed since she was little with the name Rose. When we would play "pretend" that was her go to name or even house her babys name was Rose. Now her daughter is name Rose. My husband and I have been together since i was 14. We took a Human Growth and Development class and did a project together where we took a baby home when we were 16/17. We had a male robotic baby and named him Armin and want to name our first son (if we have boys) that name. I yhink it is pretty cool that we as humans get attached to a name like that.
