Hi, I couldn't find a way to contact you through any social media, except this. Do you take classes? Awaiting your response :) Finally got to see a video I'd been wanting to see for ages. Thank you amazing work done ❤️

No i don't take or do classes, last time I talk to someone about classes they told me around $1400, but on nice professional level with all info where to get better materials and so much more tips. If you want I can try to find this contact for you. But people don't usually want to share info like this for free 😁

Hello When you cleaned the grout off of the cast was that simply warm water in the bucket? At the end when you say touch up with acrylic paint, what kind, what am I touching up? You video is awesome. Best step by step I've come across. Those were the only two things I wasn't sure about. Thanks for sharing.
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much. I really appreciate it. To take the grout of I used warm water, but because I did not take all of it, then I used a knife and acetone to finish with details. It took me awhile. With paint what I did, I mixed white grout with red paint= pink, and put it only on design area. Hope it was helpful

My grout is rubbing off still after 3wks. Should i seal it? With regular sealer or special for mirror tile?
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure, my grout got very strong as cement, if you seal it, mirror might get foggy 🤔 try to cover it with some sealer or even with some tacky glue, but don't touch mirror tiles

How can I mount my belly cast like you did at the end?
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
There are different ways to do it. You may use very strong glue on sides, and mount it on strong picture frame. Here I think I just put strong rope to hang it like a picture. Also you may buy pictures hangers in Home Depot...

What strip of cloth did you use to put the crystals on for the name and did you use any polish after cleaning the grout?
@ikigaiartlab24374 жыл бұрын
Thank you for question. I used medical gauze to put crystals on. And I didn't used any polish to cover crystal, its Swarovski and they shine very nicely. But I did used acetone to clean glass and crystals from glue and grout.
@erikahernandez61064 жыл бұрын

@ikigaiartlab24374 жыл бұрын
Lol, my hubby say I'm crazy 🥰 I spend couple of hours to scrape the mold of with a tool, and then i used acetone to take the glue off. I repeat this couple of times on each tile, and still I think its not perfect, but people loves it ❤ Thank you

I used this cast and I'm a big girl. It feels so thin any ideas to make it stronger
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
Did you used all strips? I think the easiest way will be to mix some patching component, that people use for walls. U can buy it in home depot. Just apply thin layer all over cast let it dry, if you feel it's still not enough, do one more coat
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
After it's dry you will need to sand it with sanding paper, in this case you will have even smoothier effect.
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
Also this wooden frame on back of cast make it more stronger too.
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
But if you do so, make sure this patching mixture is not too watery, as it may soften the original cast
@ikigaiartlab24373 жыл бұрын
And if you decide to do the mosaic on it, then I don't think you need to do anything, because the grout itself will make it pretty strong
