I also love the line "With an iron-clad fist I wake up to French kiss the morning." Underrated poetry! I have a music degree, and this came out when I was taking music theory, which had a listening skills component. I'd bought the score for this song and was practicing it on the baby grand that we used in our classroom. I'd gotten so in tune with this song that when our teacher was testing the class, at one point I asked him "Are you playing F and B-flat?" (one of the common intervals in this song). The teacher gave me a shocked look like I'd suddenly developed perfect pitch. (I hadn't.) A treasured memory!

Bon Jovi . Band Jon Bon Jovi. Singer/songwriter and sometimes guitarist. Richie Sambora. Lead guitarist/songwriter and backing vocals. Tico Torres. Drummer. David Bryan. Keyboards and backing vocals and sometimes co-writer Hugh MacDonald. Bass guitar and backing vocals. Alex John such. Original bass player, left/fired in the early 90s. Jon and Richie both have solo albums, David writes broadway musicals and Tico is an artist and clothing designer. Can I suggest watching “Dry County” live in Wembley. It’s amazing to see the whole band kicking ass 👍🏻

This song, to me, is a poetic and beautiful tribute to pure and true love, like in the bones kind of love. Tell your significant other you love them, unprompted and random times. It's always needed most you think it's not needed at all

Jon Bon Jovi can’t sing like he use to but him and lead guitarist Richie Sambora are fantastic combination of pure talent they wrote so many great songs together and performances but the whole band are true musicians! I will always be a fan of them and there music! You should do MORE Bon Jovi music! How about Always, I’ll Be There For You, Bad Medicine, Keep The Faith, Have A Nice Day and In These Arms! All great songs and music 🎶 think you’d love them!

I have loved Jon Bon Jovi since I was 12. I have been to every concert he has had near me, except one because I was in labor with out daughter. My husband vetoed my idea to name her Jovianne though. I have a small tattoo on my ankle I designed from one of his little known songs. This song is one of his bed and it's so raw and autobiographical. He got back to her and married her, and having married my high school love and sharing a life until he died at 45, this one gets my heart. You should do Romeo & Juliet by Dire Straits. Old song, but so good.
