I ❤ the picture! There's not a knob or a creek that I can see, but the allusion is cool. 🙂 1:53 It works even better if you turn it 180 degrees instead of just 90. And last night I tried that trick on a bottle of Bernheim, and a tab I couldn't begin to move untwisted, was dead easy after the 180° twist. I do wish they'd get rid of the wax - honestly I wish everyone would just use a screw top. I can't name any specific instance, but I have this image in my mind from waaaaaay back of a cowboy, in a movie or on a TV show, jingling his spurs into a saloon, bellying up to the bar, and saying to the bartender, "Rye." 🙂 One of the first ryes I had was Knob Creek. It's been a while since I had a bottle, because I've found myself with things like Hard Truth and Sagamore Spirit, and I prefer bourbon. But one of these days, when it's been a while since I had a rye whisky, I'll buy me another bottle of Knob Creek. 🥃 Speaking of rye, I just finished my first ever glass of Redemption bourbon, which is high rye (21% IIRC; their wheated bourbon is *HIGH* wheat, 45%). And my next glass is in fact Hard Truth Sweet Mash Rye. 17:48 For a given volume of ice, multiple pieces (e.g. cubes) has more surface area than one big piece (e.g. a gawgeous ice spheah). Sometimes I get more literal with my photography and I actually prefer it. But in this case I was downtown and saw this pile of rubble and thought, hey, that would look cool. And I was right. If you like Knob Creek rye, you might try Bulleit rye. Decent pour, decent price, always on the shelf. Elijah Craig is a low rye at 51% and I like it, too. You're right about the ice. I was having a stroke. HA!
