Chopta is a small region of meadows and evergreen forest area, a part of Kedarnath wildlife sanctuary located in Uttarakhand state, India and a base for trekking to Tungnath, the third temple of Panch Kedar which lies 3.5 kilometres (2.2 mi) away. Located at a distance of 1.5 kilometres (0.93 mi) from Tungnath is Chandrashila, a summit rising to over 4,000 metres (13,000 ft).
Chopta is an unspoiled natural destination lying in the lap of the Uttarakhand Himalayas and offers views of the imposing Himalayan range including Trishul, Nanda Devi and Chaukhamba. It is located at an elevation of 2,709 metres (8,888 ft) above sea level. Chopta village is surrounded by forests of pine, deodar and rhododendron and is rich in flora and fauna including rare species of birds and musk deer.
Tungnath is the third Panch Kedar Temple among famous Panch Kedar Temples. Himanshu Tripathi accompanied me in this beautiful trek which starts from Chopta, which is called mini Switzerland of India because of its magnificent meadows, covering Tungnath Temple, and ends at Chandrashila viewpoint.

Nice blog This year in March we visited uhkimath there we stayed in madhuganga resort bit expensive but a good one we went to sari village too probably we ha refreshments at lucky bhaiya s restaurant we tried for devriataal too but cud not treck we just walked a km and came back may be we don't have stamina like u I am 64 but I know age does not matter it is will power and strong urge that matters Anyways I really like ur blogs May God u achieve the milestones in ur career

I have been an old and very avid follower of your channel. But I am sorry to say that today I have lost all credibility about you. Actually I have stayed in this property last year. I booked two rooms for one night for about INR 12,000. And this is the worst property experience I have ever gone through in my life. You never mentioned , which you should have, that rooms have no clean linen, no blanket covers, no mirror either in room or washroom, extremely small room and washroom, charging points were broken, no towels. And worst of all, water from bathroom rushes inside room. This issue were in every room. They have no intercom, they don't pick mobile. One has to climb so many ladders from the cottage to top for every need or any requirement. Sorry you have lost all credibility. Your videos are sans genuine feedback. And this has happened second time. First time we experienced the same when we visited saptrishi ashram in Rishikesh after watching your video. They had the dirtiest washroom on Earth in every cottage which you neither showed or mentioned. Now this Snow n Shade, which we have already visited, is the second experience where there is no genuine reviews from your side

Vivek ji, thanks for sharing your feedback but the same room if i got in 1000 with good food than how can say bad words for them. I got clean linen, no smell infact got hot water which i always required. In 6000 it is actually not worth of course, but still didn't you see the room before checkin like smell and intercom and other amenities

What is the distance between Rishikesh and chopta? I have taken a manath to visit Rishikesh as I was not well for 3 years with Anxiety and fear. NOW completely cured and well.
