I have seen a lot of beautiful places on earth, but this last summer I visit Corsica (Corse) and it just blow away everything. For sure the most beautiful and diverse place on earth! Wow, wow wow!

Is just an incredible honor to see where my family comes from, what a beautiful and peaceful place, my great grandfather was born and raised in Corsica and fought in WW1 for France. Hope to live there one day.

Thank you. It was in July. Don't remember the prices exactly but I think it was like 5-6 € for the beach line. But there was something like a week-ticket which was really cheap in comparison.

this video has inspired me to go to corsica! am considering early september! did you rent a car for this itinerary? replicable by vespa? how long were you there?

Glad to hear that! We were there for two weeks. You could probably take a vespa, but the island is huge and has mountains everywhere. We hired a car for one week to reach the different locations and on some other days took the Corsican railway. I would recommend a car if you want so see many places.

Very nice video, like the relaxing music. Question if you don't mind...My wife and I are planning on taking the ferry over from Livorno and not getting a car since it's only for 4 days. The trains look great there, but I can't find much about the mountain and beach lines specifically mentioned that you highlight in the video. Do you know any websites or resources to learn more about where all we could go on the trains, schedules, etc and not worry about renting cars? Just need to get from Bastia to smaller beach front place to stay, and to a couple of decent hiking trails. Cheers!

Hey! Sorry, took me some time to answer, because I am on vacation right now. It is indeed a little difficult to find information on the trains online. Most useful for us were the printed documents in the stations. The beach line is very short. It goes only between Calvi and L‘Île-Rousse in the north-east. The bigger lines cross the whole island. This map may help you: goo.gl/images/jJzcno The „mountain line“ is going south from Ponte Leccia and - if I remember correctly - reaches its highest peak in Vizzavona. It is quite exciting and you can get to interesting places, but be aware that the trains have a long driving time on this big island - especially in the mountains. Wishing you a great trip! Hey Jan, fantastic video! I visited Corsica in June this year, many to trek GR-20. I visited Calvi, Bastia and Ajaccio - it is awesome place to visit....you definitely covered more of the local landscape. Your sound track was outstanding! Did you pull the video together using Go Pro's software or did you use something else? Where are off to next?

We were there for two weeks and bascially drove around in the north east. To see the whole island you need many weeks more. But as you can see, you can visit many different great places in two weeks.

That's hard to say in general. Basically we justed hired a car for a week, bought some train tickets and booked a boat ride. Prices differ a lot depending on the time of the year. Most expensive is the car of course. We took Europcar Corse. It's a local professional rental, cheaper than booking from home: www.rental-car-corsica.com
