Owen has a new guitar! The drone video was awesome...maybe a drone is Owen’s next new toy? Lynn the painted rocks have started to show up in my neighborhood lately. I may be in the process of contributing one or two. Lol Looks like an awesome time was had by all despite the grill fire scare!

Owen already has a drone. We left it at home to conserve space for other things, but since we liked having Jim’s drone shots in our videos we had our granddaughter bring it with her when she came to see us last week... so, more drone shots in the future. Maybe not as good as Jim’s but we’ll try. Those painted rocks are everywhere up here. Many put their Instagram name or KZbin channel name on them. Lynn just paints them and leaves them to provide a small for someone else. Thanks for always being a smile in our lives on the days we release videos. It means a lot to us!

Cool camp spots and so great for dogs! Our Lab (who recently passed away) would have been in that water the entire time! Was it buggy there? Everyone talks about mosquitos... Love the stickers ~ we collect magnets and have them on a piece of stainless we put on an interior wall in our Rpod.

Hey guys. We cried watching your tribute video for your lab. So sorry. Bug? Depends. The further North you go the worse they seem to be. We have only had 4 days when they were really big and you just ran for cover. We had magnets on the van to start with but it made washing the van difficult. Putting stickers on the Thule works but only if we take it on every trip. Thanks for watching.

We have traveled all over without one but this trip was the trip that one ended up in the van. Nothing goes near the grill anymore especially the guitar. Or Maggie.. But it hasn't had any more issues since that one time.

Thank you both! I used to play the guitar and sing for a living, but like Clint Eastwood said “dying ain’t much of a living boy!”. I loved it but it just left no time for us to travel and see places like Alaska like we wanted to. So we decided to leave all that behind and live on less and just see what we could see and do before it’s too late. Glad you guys are so much a part of the journey!

Wow wow wow! Triple wow! What joy from start to finish! Really enjoying seeing you guys camping with Jim. Hanging out with new friends camping in Alaska - well, it doesn’t get much better than that. And then... you bought yourself a guitar!!! So cool! I’m glad for several reasons. 1) you are really good, entertaining! (I wondered when I didn’t see you with your own guitar if you were just tired of it with all the shows you used to do.) 2) I also play - in my case the ukulele. If we ever go full time RVing not sure how I will part with my collection of 7 ukes. My most recent purchase is a solid Koa hand built in Hawaii. Would hate to leave it behind. I noticed you purchased the small Luna. I’m guessing some strategy went into that purchase. Small so it fits better? And couldn’t tell from video but is it a laminate? So you don’t have to be concerned as much about the humidity? Anyway thanks! I know you love your music tracks for the videos. We all shall be expecting a few tracks from Owen now!

Thank you Mark! We have watched several of your videos and just subscribed so we won’t miss any new ones. I thought of getting a uke for travel and still may do that. Yes, a little measuring and thinking went into the purchase of the Luna. It had to fit in the overhead area in a small gig bag with the shades, chairs and a table. It had to be at least a 12-fret and full-size neck, which it is. It had to sound OK... we found several that were smaller but there’s no way they would keep me playing them because they just sounded so tinny. It is not a laminate but it is also a $200 guitar so if it becomes damaged I’ll be upset but not completely heartbroken like I would with my older, better guitars. Now that I know we like having it in the van I may opt to get one that’s made of carbon fiber instead of wood. We’ll see how it works out and then decide when this trip is over. Thanks for the nicest words. It truly means so much to us!

Yeah I'm not taking that sticker off from the ladder. The grill is now ugly but works. We met Jim and Cynthia through our channel. They offered to meet up with us when we came up and were a lot of help when we were plsnning the trip. Jim had his long trip planned snd we hsppened to be in Dawson City st the ssme time. Not always writing them down but we have them stored with the phone photos so we can find them again. Almost all are on the iOverLander app on our phone.

That is so very, very cool to hear! What we do is listen to the music we love and use an app on phone called Shazam (now built into iOS) and it will tell you the artist and song and even point you to download sites.

Hi, cool video. When in remote area or parking lot and not plugged in, Do you feel the need to run your roof ac overnight off onan generator during hot humid summer nights? And how long can you continually run the onan generator with roof ac? Even during hot daytime temperatures? Do see any value to upgrade your rig to the lithium model - 59KL? Is it worth the extra 25-30 K in price for the KL?

As with all things it depends. I guess if we could go back 18 months we would tell ourselves to wait 3 months and get the KL. But we rarely run the generator. In fact I have to our a reminder in place to exercise it as required. We have run it overnight before due to smoke in AK and hear in Florida and SC. Most of the time it cools down enough at night that the MaxAir fan will keep us cool enough. If needed though the generator will rub fine until you get below a 1/4 of a tank of gas. Then it will shut off. We've never had to run it that much. We sometimes leave it on for Maggie when temps get abode mid79s and we have to leave her in the van. Hope info helps.
