Your cherry shrimp tank is so beautiful! Excited to see your Blue dreams and Yellow tanks progress. Shrimp Keeping and planted tanks teaches patience doesn't it? lol! But so satisfying as the moss grows in and the shrimp colony grows

I like Dwarf sagg.. It's a runner plant and can be used in low tech aquariums too... 1 Dwarf sagg plant can fill whole aquarium of big size in 2 to 3 months

Hello Tamara when you first set that piece of wood on a 45 degree angle to me it looked like a Alligator😄

I've started using the thin, malleable plant weights in this type of substrate, makes planting into it 100 times easier.

This type of soil does leach ammonia just a heads up. Normally you add the soil without shrimp cycle it for minimum of 3 weeks and then water change and then it’s ready to add shrimp . All depends on the soil you use.

daily water changes will fix this issue tho, she will just have to watch parameters make sure its safe

Or if you have a seeded filter you should be good no? Ive always been ok when using old , seeded filters . But maybe i was just lucky too

First time you see berried shrimp is always so exciting! And the fun of trying to find the little shrimplets after you see them without the eggs is even better! good look with your shrimp!

Tank looks great. When changing the water always check the bucket before throwning out because shrimpies or babies might accidentally get sucked into it.

stratum is very hard to plant in, watch out for it raising the ammonia over the next 2-3 weeks as well

Need to add some fan filter shrimp to the collection. Bamboo Shrimp (Atyopsis moluccensis). Cameroon vampire shrimp (Atya gabonensis), other common names African fan shrimp, African filter shrimp, African giant shrimp, Blue rhino shrimp, Gabon shrimp, Cameroon fan shrimp, Armoured fan shrimp. They are built like tanks, getting to about six inches, dispite there size and some of their common names, they aren't aggressive, but they do have two chunky front legs for defence.

I think my favorite is the black substrate Tank, but I’ve always liked black substrate, especially for lighter colored fish. I had a 10 gallon planted Betta tank with Eco complete substrate and several plants at one point. It was one of my favorite tanks of all time!

Thanks for being here! No, they just breed and then the shrimplets grow up in the same tank😁

Have you ever tried to put into 2 or 3 different types of shrimp together?
@ADayWithT4 ай бұрын
No, I haven’t mixed any colours yet… I don’t want to end up with a tank full brown shrimp haha but I may experiment at some point!

Better first you put aquasoil in your tank and than you put some plant in and after that you fill your tank with water.
