Beautiful Peaceful Spring Snow Storm At An Off Grid Cabin In The Woods

Mother Nature changed my wood shed building plans here at the off grid homestead. We got about 6 inches of wet heavy snow and it looks like the middle of winter here again. The baby chicks have been staying nice and cozy in the cabin by the wood stove. #winter #outdoors #homestead

I would cut firewood in 10 inch lengths and burn verticle little splitting I would cut years ahead used the 680 Case backhoe !

Wow I’m in Northern Ontario Canada 🇨🇦 are snow is all gone now. On the 14th of April we were in shorts and T-shirt’s. Too hot too soon. Love spring weather then summer. Beautiful to see winter where you are. Your homestead is looking great. Love the birds. Clearing the trees away from your home will make it safer and less bugs. Stay safe. 🙋🏻

I gotta give props to you both for giving up the city life to have the kind of life you chosen. Your wife/GF don’t ask for much it seems, no getting nails done, no lashes, no dress formal for dinner, keeping it simple and that’s cool. Aren’t you guys concerned about safety? I mean you live way out and what if something bad goes wrong? Bear attacks happen, bears can break down doors, crazy people out and about, you both are smart so I can imagine you have some sort of weapon for safety. It’s weird you have no curtains or blinds so I can’t see how you both sleep without freaking out about bigfoot looking at you … lol bad humor. Anyway you both stay safe

He did a nice job. Make sure you get your framing right for your foundation. There's a guy on KZbin whose channel is called "HouseImprovements". He has a lot of good framing videos. Very helpful if you do a post and beam foundation, which many, many people get wrong.

In my experience, the only way to accurately predict weather is by looking at a real time radar, I use the rain alarm app. Of course that's only good for about 2 days notice on precipitation, sometimes less. Can't trust those dastardly weathermen
