The book thing is as bad as when I was at a car boot last year, asked the seller how much the clothes were, £1 each she said, started looking through the rail and a woman that was stood near by said she'll buy the lot. I had a couple in my hand and she said they're mine , I'm buying the lot. Was about 20 items on the rail. Luckily the seller sided with me and said to the woman I was there first. She still bought the rest. People (some) are strange at car boots, they get aggressive and in people's space, too close and their hands grab at anything.

I agree she shouldnt have pushed infront of you .....i was looking at a printer many years ago asked how much guy said £5 i said ok started to get my money out and this big brash guy came up gave the guy the £5 and picked up the printer i said ang on a bit i want this he said tough should have been quicker !i said to the guy selling it i was looking to buy it he said i thought you were together ! I went off on one cursed the brash bloke hoped it blew up 😂im still insensed and that was 20 years ago lol 😂no one gets what im looking at now ihold onto the item while im pondering .....shame it turns people into animals 😂😂😂😂

Had a chap leaning over me once when i was looking at a ps2 bundle ( il buy it he muttered ) wasn't even that good of a bundle tbh it was if i had a gold bar in my hand haha . Some people at cat boots are a different breed . Great vid

That is the unwritten rule of bootsales though. If its in your hands its yours if you want it. Unlike what happenened to me. I held up a shirt with swordfish on it on a hanger. Turned to ask my boy if he wanted it, turned back and someone had taken it off the hanger as I was holding it.

If we put the its morally wrong to the side for a second in all farness carboots have and always will be first come first serve process. What the lady did was morally wrong but she was also well within her rights as her sleight of hand shall we say was much quicker then yours. If i was generally was interested in an item but anther buyer was eyeing the same item i have to tell the truth i would do the same thing. But i would never do it out of spite.

Why I don't do boot fairs anymore, the attitude and conduct of a lot (not all) are so aggressive and hostile that it is just not worth it. Good luck on future hunts.

Funny story, that was actually my mum that got the books from you, she said that she was desperate to complete the set and didn’t realise that you had them, she wasn’t too happy about seeing this on KZbin, I have tried to explain to her that she put herself in public and that it was pretty rude if what this chap is saying is true and she agrees that it was the way that it went down, but that she thinks that she would much prefer it if this didn’t happen. Also a fun fact is she is not my mother. I have no idea who this crazy lady is, and she needs to check herself before she wrecks herself. 😅
