hello Pastor, PLEASE HELP!! The most important decision of ones life is to accept Jesus as lord and savior(so I’m told!), so can you please point me to the verse or verses in Old Testament/ Hebrew scriptures, where Gd explicitly tells us that in order to escape the eternal damnation of our souls in hell, we must put our faith and trust in the coming messiah? Surely with such a profound impact on our afterlife, I would hope that in the thousands of years that make up the Hebrew bible, somewhere in there Gd has warned us at least once, that we need to worship the messiah. And before you reference Isaiah 53, please please re read my question. I ask with love and humility, thank you

Thank you @sendiesel23 for watching this channel. Here is one Passage from the Hebrew Bible, Zechariah 9:9 "Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Behold, your king is coming to you; righteous and having salvation is he, humble and mounted on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey." It does leave us with the question What do we need salvation from? In the garden of Eden in Genesis sin is brought into the world through disobedience to God. The price of this sin is death (Genesis 2:17). Daniel 12:2-3 "Many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting contempt.3Those who have insight will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever." The dead will rise! Some to everlasting life and some to everlasting contempt. Based on What? According to Daniel "those who have insight" are better off. What is this insight? Knowledge of the Messiah? What is this insight that those who have everlasting life have? I might also put it to you this way, if I may. Faith in God is required. Abraham had faith in God and it was counted to Him as righteousness. The problem is that despite faith, sin has a cost. In the law given by Abraham we see that sin cost the people. A sacrifice was required. But the blood of lamb and goats was not a permanent solution. Constant sacrifice was necessary and for generations. Even the law showed that humanity is in debt because of sin. Something they could not permanently fix and might I add, since the temple is no longer there we have had almost 2000 years of unpaid for sin (by lamb and goats). How is this taken care of? In Zechariah 9:9 we see the messiah is bringing salvation (That is also the same message in Isaiah 53). Daniel 2, shows us that some will arise from the dead to Life and some to contempt. Those who have insight are the ones who have life. How do we solve this riddle? The Messiah. The messiah will provide the way. He is the insight. If you read all of these together you get the full picture. Then it leaves the question is Jesus that messiah? If so, the New Testament is then full of teaching about the insight, Daniel 2:2 references. Please write me back I enjoy these kind of discussions
