I'll try to answer all of your queries here- First of all, they weren't teenager here 😂😂. They all were pretty much 23-28 years of age range. Yes, in South Korea, the age range for mandatory military service is 18-28 years. But as Hwagwang Cultural Merit Award holders, all the members are given permission to go to military till they are 30. And this MV was shoot in a rented bunglow and their own shared penthouse. Specially the scene where all members were sitting in two beds, that was actually Jimin and Jhope's shared bedroom. The 7 members lived together from 2012 to 2021(I've not written 2010, because that time only RM and Suga lived together, other members didn't joined that time yet). In that covid time, they are doing online concerts, run bts shows and many youtube and Vlive logs to keep entertain Armys, to divert their sorrow into happiness. During the BE release(the album which is from this song), Suga finally had his shoulder surgery and went 2 months rest, but other members always carried his small cutout in every shows and left space in their choreos 🥺🥺 .. And this MV was directed by our JK.. you can check it in the description. Jimin was tge project manger, V was in charge of the concept photos. All the members contribute to make the album BE.

71 year old Army here. Ok, so you guys have a few things wrong here. They were still living in a dorm together at that time. Jungkook directed this video. He used a lot of footage that he took himself. He does his own films called Golden Closet Films. The last four just enlisted this past Dec 11 and 12th. Three enlisted prior. The first one, Jin, will be released from 18 months of duty in early June. They serve 18 months. This song debuted at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100. They have had 6 songs debut at #1. Not an easy feat. Thanks for the reaction! 💜 (BTW, they all have had their own apartments for about 2 years I believe.)

Because of their massive success and contribution to the Korean economy (billions per year), they were allowed to enlist up to age 30....a few of them are in their early 30s now. None were teens in this video. They quarantined together as a group. They had lived together for many years (but most also had their own homes). They have over 300 songs at this point, and beyond MVs they have dance videos, performance videos, live performances etc, etc, etc for many of those songs. They also have travel series (Bon Voyage and In The Soop), full concert videos, a 154 episode variety show (called RUN), 3 movies (and associated 8 part series), several documentaries, tons of Behind the Scenes content and so much more. You could do 3 BTS reactions a day and still not be caught up by the time they come back. That's not even including massive amounts of content their agency will release for them while they are away. Enjoy the journey

I found BTS in 2020, not too long after the pandemic started. I'm elderly and have underlying health issues. My children and grandchildren all had essential jobs, some healthcare workers, and my great-grandchildren were in school. They called often and I watched my great-grandchildren play in the yard from my car and waved to them, but I felt very lonely and isolated. That's when BTS became a part of my family. I enjoyed them so much. They kept me entertained and ARMY was so nice. They made me feel I wasn't alone. I'm so grateful! Thanks for your reaction. 💜

{{{Hugs}}} Donna Sweet. So many shared similarities in our covid years. I didn’t have family members to be separate from, but have so many friends who I couldn’t see. We instead had Zoom calls, some of which had me crying all the way through. I too am older and felt hugely comforted by diving fully into the BTS world. I was a fan before it hit, but I really feel like they got me through it, and so many others as well. I’m so glad you found BTS and the community around them. It feels like family, and I’ve made some good friends from “the purple ocean”. Next for you: get yourself to a concert in 2026. You are not too old.

I am a 57 year old single mom. My daughter had just left for college in the fall when COVID struck and she had to come home. I had had a pretty rough couple of years health-wise right before the pandemic, so I was very worried about getting it. I started working from home, and my daughter was attending classes virtually. For the summer, she worked at a restaurant, and then she returned to campus in the fall. THAT was when I fell down the rabbit hole - home alone 100% of the time, working from home, never going out. I lost all of my local friendships. I completely understand those feelings of loneliness that BTS and ARMY helped relieve. They made that whole time period bearable for me, and my couple of friends now are people I met thanks to BTS.

Gentlemen, just a little reminder...🙂They were all in their mid-late twenties. Jin born 1992 Suga b. 1993 J-Hope and RM b. 1994 Jimin and V b. 1995 Jungkook b. 1997 South Korea had tighter lockdown protocols than most of the US. (masks, mandatory temp when entering buildings, restrictions on entering the country, etc.). The members did have their own apartments, but they also had what they called their dorm--a six bedroom apartment which they used for a few scenes in the video (playing video games is their living area, and the bedroom was Jimin and J-Hope's). The outdoor scenes was a place they rented where other MV's have been filmed. They wanted those scenes to be nostalgic, to feel like home movies. The concert scene was filmed immediately after their online concert, ON:E in Oct 2020. Originally BTS was going to be able to have a live audience speckled throughout the stadium (small family clusters). South Korea's covid rates had been low; however, a couple weeks before the concert rates started to rise so in-person events were cancelled again. BTS had wanted those concert goers to be in the MV.

Korea handled COVID correctly, so it's a little hard for us Americans to understand because our country did not handle it correctly. "South Korea is one of the countries where policy measures were successful. The public complied with government directions and wore masks in public places, limiting infection cases and deaths. As of 21 March 2022, South Korea had approximately 9.5 million infection cases (18% of the population) and 12,000 deaths, while the American people resisted mask mandates in public places. As a result, the United States had more than 79 million infection cases (24% of the population) and almost a million deaths despite vaccine development by American pharmaceutical companies."

Even though their own plans for a massive world tour had to be cancelled due to COVID, they worked hard within strict restrictions to reach out to their fans and bring them cheer and comfort. They released new music (including an entire album), a full online concert, speeches at the UN and at a remote graduation event for students whose grad ceremonies were cancelled, a collaboration with Coldplay, and much more. You will definitely not run out of BTS videos to watch 😂. Of these, I recommend starting with their Tiny Desk live performance; it is short and sweet and highly enjoyable.

Just so you know RM swept the dust off the bicycle seat, hence he is unable to do what he loves and ride his bicycle. Being dusty, he wiped the dust and blew the dust off from not being able to use it for such a long time. Not that he licked it. Hence the rude comment of " I don't know, I'm not Korean, I don't know what culture they have there..." jokingly saying, maybe being hungry". Remember that our boys are from South Korea and not North Korea... possibly live a better, free life than some of us in the US. Also, all of the boys lived together during the pandemic so that they were able to support eachother, work and keep eachother company during these trying times. Again, it only made sense since the boys have always lived together and are so close and two while all their activities were put to a hault, they were able to spend time together without any distractions if they were wanting to take all this free time to be able to out out content for their fans. . And to say that the boys would use clips, here and there to put out the the MV together. This MV was actually produced from Jung Kook and every clip here was intentionally taken for the MV. This is why the boys are so sucessful. They are so talented, touch and do so many other things outside of music and free to explore their inner talents. Then for you to complain during Covid times and around 3:00 that you were probably just too lazy to get out of bed sometimes, even if it was just to get up to play video games. This song was released at the beginning of the pandemic, even before the lock down. The boys put out this song to give hope to all during such a hard time. Surprisingly not knowing that the pandemic would be so long. They had to cancel their tour and was not able to do what they loved most, perform. During these hard times for them as well as everyone else, they wanted to share some hope and give strength to all who were going through these hard times. This then follows all the few and only English songs during the pandemic that they had put out to give us all some hope. Dynamite, Butter and Permission to Dance. It was never planned but this unintentionally happened because of the pandemic. If not for that, I believe the boys would have had their last big concert and would have possibly announced their military leave back then, surprisingly earlier than we would have thought. It was only due to their massive influence to Korea and the music industry that they were all able to extend their time for a couple of years until enlisting to the Korean military. Also, just a FYI as you mentioned earlier, alot of Americans enlist in their earlier years and volunteraily, it's mandatory that all able bodied Korean men enlist before the age of 28. So there is a difference, you have to enlist regardless if you want to or not. Even in the prime time of the boys careers, they never said no and was vocal about always ready to join the Korean military when it came to their time and to fulfill their duty for their country. No hate here but just wanted you to better understand it simply with the truth. Sometimes it may seem a bit discriminating on how you display your words and without you knowing the truth. Possibly just misunderstanding too on how you display your thoughts and how you say certain things to the audience. Also I probably am over sensitive since this is one of my favorite songs from the boys. It helped me during some of my hardest times, trying to get through the pandemic. Regardless, thanks for your input and reactions but I hope you can find some time to understand some of the content and reflect on what it is that you say before doing so. No one is taking that from you but at the end of the day, it may cause you alot of negative feed back. Being biased bit not really, truthfully they deserve all the acclaimeds... such talented, hard worki g and humble men. There's alot that we all can learn from them...❤💜💜

I just figured out why you keep thinking they are younger than they are. It's because of the military service. Usually it's true that men serve in their early 20s, but they had an extension where they didn't have to go until 30. (A law was passed through their parliament just to give them this because of their incredible impact on Korea. 👑) Jin (the oldest) was 30 when he enlisted last year. Jungkook (the youngest) is 26 right now while serving. So three years ago in peak covid their ages were between 23 and 28. This video was directed by Jungkook. I think he was going for that nostalgic vibe, which is what makes it feel like it's a memory reel or something. It's a very comforting song. Love the reaction. And how you are missing them too. We made you army. Welcome. 😊💜😁

The footage was all shot specifically for the music video. Jungkook directed the mv (actually four slightly different versions) and it has a lot of similarities to his Golden Closet Film (GCF) videos. The apartment was theirs, and they kept it until early 2022. It was their last dorm in a series that stretches back to 2010, although they started buying their own individual apartments from around 2018/19. The outdoor shots in the sculpture garden were taken at Casa Noir, which is an hour or so outside Seoul. The building V kept looking at from the car is the Jamsil Olympic Stadium in Seoul, where they usually hold their ‘home’ concerts. It’s just a few hundred metres from his own apartment. ‘Life Goes On’ is the title track from their pandemic album BE, which was originally unplanned because they were supposed to be on a massive Map Of The Soul world tour in 2020. That was going to be the last and greatest before their military enlistments. When the tour was cancelled they decided to delay entry and personally take on most of the production tasks of an impromptu album dealing with their feelings about the situation.

First of all, RM was blowing the dust off his fingers, not licking it. Second of all it might feel like a fan made music video because they filmed it in their actual apartment (where they used to all live together during Covid and before). And Jungkook directed it. The bedroom in the video is Jimin and J-Hope’s real bedroom. I actually saw an American Interview that they did (remotely) in 2020 not long after Dynamite came out where the (ignorant) interviewer asked them if it had been hard being separated during quarantine. Most of them were looking at each other all bewildered saying in Korean, “we all live in the same house though.” But RM just gave that tight smile that he gives when people ask stupid questions and was like,” yep. The parts that look kind of like home movies is very stylistic to his method of filming things (he has a series of films called Golden Closet Films where you can see this same style), and it is also intentionally done at points because it is supposed to look like they are watching home movies while together in quarantine. The music video was largely filmed in their actual dorm where they lived together until a few years ago. The bedroom scene, for example, was in Jimin and J-Hope's actual shared bedroom. The concert scene at the end was filmed at the venue where they held their online concert during Covid.

The MV was made by JK during covid, wearing masks at time. The guys didn't have to "get back together" they all lived together at the time, not in that tiny dorm, but in a huge luxury apartment. I like the mellow quality of this song very much.

This music video was directed by Jungkook, which is probably why it has that home video feel to it, and the footage looks so personal. The other reason it's got a personal feel is because some scenes were shot in their own real-life dorm apartment located in a luxury condominium estate in Seoul, Korea. They were living in a very high-end neighbourhood, similar to Beverly Hills in the USA. This video was made during Covid, but it was also during a time when all 7 members shared the same home together, so they would have been considered as living in one household. Lockdowns wouldn't have been an issue for them to be filmed together, because they shared the same living space at the time. Even if all 7 couldn't step out the door, it wouldn't have been an issue. They wouldn't have been violating any lockdown rules. And even with a lockdown happening, no one wears a mask when they're at home living under one roof with their family members or housemates. Also, BTS is permitted to defer enlisting in the military until they turn 30, so during Covid, they were all well into their 20s already. When this song came out, the youngest Jungkook would have been 23, with the oldest Jin being 27 going on 28, as his birthday is in December. They were not teenagers during Covid.

For instance, when families were healthy, they still interacted but precautions not to create unhealthy situations were in place. BTS was like a family but one with resources which far exceeded the average person. So healthfully they were able to make music. Keep in mind this track was after Dynamite which was created at an even deeper point in the pandemic.

The sizes of the apartments grew as they became huger stars and had more money, but they didn't begin living on their own until 2022....Thus they were in lock-down together the entirety of Covid and could easily film themselves (as they did in their shared apartment for the bedroom scenes and the living room scenes)...The outdoor scenes in the car and others were also filmed by themselves...JK handled the filming and staging for everything they filmed themselves which is why he has directing credit for this MV

This was made at the height of the pandemic before the vaccine and when we really didn't know if there was a way out. Now imagine waking up to this video on your freakin birthday in the midst of all that..... Yeah, I cried big time. 😅 💜

They lived together still, even though they had individual homes, they still preferred to be together. This was directed by Jungkook, the youngest, and he filmed some of the footage himself. It is filmed in and at their joint home. Teenagers 😂😂 Jungkook the youngest and was 23 and Jin the oldest was 29 when this was filmed! They missed performing and seeing ARMY, had to cancel their Map of the Soul tour because of COVID. As performers they struggled with what they should do and they wrote the whole album Be about their feelings in the lock down which included this song and Dynamite. It is a fantastic album, really deep and then with the fun song Dynamite to cheer people up. Have you reacted to GoGo yet? I will go check. No you haven't. No MV but plenty of live performances. Enjoy BTS More channel will have one with Eng Subs for sure. It is a fun sounding bop, but as always, with a message. Or Baepsae has a really important message but is fun too. There is a dance practice that is funny or several live performances.

suggestion: if you can record with the lyrics included in the reaction video please. I'm sure there would be someone completely new to BTS not understand Korean watch your reactions. It would be a great way for them to experience understand what the songs are about why people can relate to them. especially rap songs, people might not be in this genre can at least know why ARMY love their rap songs, not just the beats but the lyrics. This MV was directed by Jungkook, he made it the vibe of a vlog about their daily life before/during covid. some of the shots, he was the cameraman. You can check the making film for this song :) They made few songs to encourage ARMY during the pandemic which we all love. Not until late/after Covid they were very open talked about themselves really struggled at the time ;(

Military limit is at 28 in korea. (for bts it was changed to 30) I dunno why you are thinking 18/19 and why they would go at beginning of their youth. You both need to see their debut, they came out in 2013. If you see them when they WERE teens you will def see they are not teens now. 🤣They were babies in 2013 and so cute. They are definitely men now. 💜

This is the second or third time youve mistaken the members for teens - Im sure ARMY corrected you already in previous reaction to Idol. It comes across that you are just expecting teen-bop despite the numerous MVs youve already reviewed that clearly show BTS are genuine musicians. Its not my intension to be mean but its a shame you keep mis-ageing BTS and ARMY, it can make some comments feel condescending. Again I dont want to come across as negative because its always nice when reactors are positive about BTS. But please guys read the comments where ARMY will give you insights and answers to your questions, or watch one of ARMY made guides that are here on KZbin - Taylor Marie made a popular video about the Group

Guess they still as grown men have age complex and other strange comments
@annaarwen4345 Жыл бұрын
@mariepettersson6422 If theyre approaching the groups music with that kind of filter it will definately affect how they hear it, and we all know how the ageism prejudice is thrown at our fandom already. It would be nice if the reactors could move on from their initial expectations and misconceptions about an artist especially when the audience is educating them in their comments

Been going thru your reactions. And I like it coz you don’t put icing on your reviews but you’re trying to analyze every lyrics. Some maybe confusing…you can check out those with explanations like “spring day” (explained by an Italian A.R.M.Y) or other BTS songs explained by DKDKTV. Have you watched “the most beautiful life goes on” by rice squad, guide to BTS by Taylor Mari, Rise of Bangtan? Check it out these docus. Very informative. Oh… for group songs you ask? There are a lot! Magic Shop, Spine breaker, pied Piper, Festa 2021, Autumn leaves to name a few. For other BTS solos-RM’s wild flower(MV), V on tiny desk Korea (Live), JHope ‘s On the street (MV), Jin’s Epiphany (live). If only I could it all lol

I'd really like to see you guys react to their harder tracks, could you please do Ddaeng or Ugh or Baepsae, for each of these I'd recommend also doing the explanation video by DKDKTV or you'll miss a lot. Otherwise, Joke by RM doesn't need much explaining lol, hard af as the kids say today (52 yr old Cdn army here lol) OHHHH! I just had an epiphany - you need to do First Love by Suga, omg, yes, YES! 💜 short film (the song is part of the BU): kzbin.info/www/bejne/bYezlKGAbtR9Y80si=x27wbSkw8MLdWuqM track: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iWrSpmV8eLGKorMsi=Bw2pbFhKWYYFXd-y live: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gX7VkJaQe814ebssi=ezdUB55U7XDNVCMD

RM wasn't licking the dust off his finger....he was blowing it off. Watch again. They were all together in the same house during the lockdown. They chose to be together. I don't have a bad attitude often and I don't enjoy being nasty but you two are being .... let's just say, RUDE. I think I should stop watching now before you two make any more stupid comments.
