My favorite Suga's song So far away ft Suran from his first mixtape Agust D (2016) and Snooze from album D-Day.

Korea has mandatory military service for all men. BTS held off as long as they could. BTS (all 7 guys) are in right now...Jin will be out in June 2024, then J-hope (late 2024), then Suga, RM & V, and last will be Jimin & JK. They plan to reunite in 2025! Suga has the longest tour, with his shoulder injury he is in civil service (2 years), normal active service is 18 months. 2025💜💜💜

Actually Suga will be the last to come out June 21st RM and V will get out the day before Jimin and JK I only know this because of that Korean military app thing.

*Meanings for the song titles* *Daechwita* - is a genre of Korean traditional music consisting of military music played by wind and percussion instruments, generally performed while the ARMY is marching or as a static performance usually when the King is arriving. (Suga aka Agust D meant the BTS ARMY to be implied.) *Haegeum* - has two meanings. The first, it's a traditional Korean string instrument, resembling a vertical fiddle with two strings, usually played at Royal Court. Also, it means to lift a ban, or release what is forbidden. *Amygdala* - is an almond shaped part of our brain which is commonly thought to form the core of a neural system for processing fearful and threatening stimuli, including detection of threat and activation of our fight or flight response. The Amygdala helps to store memories of events and emotions so that an individual may be able to recognize similar events in the future. *My own thoughts on Agust D's Triology:* Yoongi has shared his mental health issues with us since the beginning, and he stated how some of his roughest times were in the early days, like from 2014 to 2016, how he developed social anxiety at age 18, he was dealing with depression and OCD. BTS had hate coming at them from all angles, and it took a toll on them in the early years. So hearing all the other things he was dealing with as well, just puts things into perspective. He's such a strong person. In the making video, he said the scars we create are of our own making. So the best way for him to represent that was the way that he did with the scar on his face. And the medicine he took was for his condition. He talked about how he saw a psychiatrist and his parents went with him, and they said they didn't know who he was anymore. This was in "The Last" from his first mixtape Agust D. He said how could anyone know him when he doesn't know himself, so that phrase "I don't know your name" made sense to me. Looking back at repressed memories. Thankfully he got through all of it, and now is healed to a certain degree. I see the rain as a shift., He also talked about "What doesn't kill you make you stronger", and he is now blooming like a lotus flower. The lotus flower is very resilient, and can grow in mud and water, like on a lake or pond. So I see the rain as cleansing, and healing. He also said in the behind the scenes on Daechwita, that the mad King was the Agust D from his first Mixtape in 2016, and the peasant was from his 2020 mixtape D-2. You can see the scar is very raw in that video on both of them, maybe slightly less for the 2020 Agust D. In Haegeum, i interpret it as Agust D from 2020 is the Police detective/corrupt Boss, with the partially healed scar, and the Agust D that kills, and steals the money with no scar is D-Day Agust D. The one that is mostly healed and is talking about freedom. (Do we ever completely heal from our scars?) In an interview with IU, and in the D-Day film, he talks about how he was very angry and now he has forgiven the haters and is living in the present. So his music moving forward may not have the angry vibe that we have seen in the past. But he is definitely not done yet Finally, Yoongi went on a world tour, after this album was released, and at the Final concert, he was very emotional, and had his BTS Bros. and his PEERS there with him. on a couple occasions, ARMY's sang the parts because he was so emotional he couldn't sing. And at the very end, the door he couldn't go through in this Music Video is on the stage, and he's able to walk through now. That tells me that he has healed and accepted those parts of himself, and he can move forward and let go now. You could see the relief on his face and the love as he waved good bye and closed the door. EPIC MOMENT.

YES, “OOOH, OOOH, OOOO”! Listen to “THE LAST” which I see as the BEGINNING of this “trilogy”. HIS BEGINNING! WOW! This man is an CREATIVE GENIUS!!!! His final concert in Korea on or about August 3, tied up his WHOLE STORY in the LAST moment of the show! STUNNING! BREATHTAKING! SUPERB! BRAVO! “Amygdala” fast become on of mine & my daughter’s favorite songs as she was sexually abused and was finally able to explain how she had been feeling/being, locked up in her room in her head! THIS was CATHARTIC! I absolutely ADORE MIN YOONGI (SUGA/AGUST D) for how he helped her in her darkest period of her 30 years!

For another side of Suga try First Love Due to his shoulder injury on a scooter when he was a trainee (that is shown in the video) Suga is not in the active military, but in alternative service duty. All other members are doing normal active military service and all 7 have excelled (and V has done exceptionally well and in Elite Special Forces) and will be out by mid 2025. You have plenty to catch up on until then... Suga has over 170 song credits,... 😂

He went through all of this, the scar is a symbol of the traumas he had back then what he was fighting. This is the resume of many things he experienced. That door was hard on many what it represents. If you see the D-Day concerts he got to open that door and that makes me happy. Maybe all ARMY went on tears because of it.

3:39 you got it... it was all an inner turmoil Even though there are things he couldn't avoid, most of his scars were self-inflicted, a realization to how to cope with trauma... almost the process of how he casted his demons.... you can listen to Agust D The Last to know and self titled track Agust d too, that was back in 2016 to understand the birth of his Agust D moniker and some other causes of that pent up anger..... his albums are really like his diaries! Because that were the singles trilogy but it's part of the Agust D trilogy of albums (Agust D, D-2 and D-Day)

Congrats! Very happy for you (and us 😁). We love Suga too. Also, we absolutely don't mind if you look things up, we love that you want to learn. Believe me, I surely didn't know what the amygdala was either lol. I haven't checked all of the comments, but, Suga has more than D-Day. D-Day was released & he toured for it just before enlisting in the military. He has a mixtape called 'Agust D' that was released in 2016. OH! You must watch 'Interlude: Shadow' Comeback Trailer ( kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoeUmHasr9WGr5I). Amongst other songs of his 😃I'll be here for all of your BTS reactions for sure. Can't wait! 💜💜💜

Suga is a real artist and visionary. Don't worry about them being in the military, you literally have 11+ years of BTS content to get through. And as always, expect the unexpected. They are not like any other group where you just review an album and that is it. There are obviously music videos, but also multiple live performances, dance practices, behind the scenes videos and more. I personally love seeing the extra content, it gives small glimpses of their personalities and how hard they actually work.💜

Congrats on 1k! Yass... Suga is KING 👑 not being biased at all but he is such a lyrical genius, visionary and most of all, mad crazy producer. Not only producing rap but many more other generes of music and not just for kpop artists but American artists as well. His album is Gold, just like JK. All songs are a bangers, I love each and every song but my personal favorite off the album would definitely have to be "Snooze" and "Life Goes On". Being that Snooze is so beautifully written and inspiring, such a loving message to other younger and up coming artists and their dreams. Then with Life Goes On, just him having to put out his original version of the song that was did not get released. Instead, there was another version that was mastered for the whole group to releasw in place of it. Which this is also is another all time favorite song of mine from the group. It was definitely was a song that helped me through the toughest times in my life and during the pandemic. Can't wait to see more of your reactions to Suga... Please see Suga's live concert, BANGER!! If anyhting, that was one concert I would have loved to attend and so sad i did not make it since it was so limited. ❤💜💜💜

You are fast becoming one of my fav reactors - like Jimin said [I will paraphrase it] : *you nice, keep going* This song is everything really - stunning. I hope you are able to track down him singing this live on the final day of his D-Day tour last year in Seoul - the door is so SO symbolic - not a dry eye in the arena.....not a dry eye for those watching online. And if you wanna see the rap line go OFF - watch them do UGH and Cypher part 3, especially from their Yet to Come concert in Busan. BORAHAE

His album and both of his mixtapes are so great! And don’t worry: at his final solo concert, he walked through a door at the end so he didn’t stay trapped in that room 💜 Also, they all have solo songs on BTS albums, too 😂 personally, I think you should check out the rappers’ solo songs from the BTS Map of the Soul album series. The order is as follows: Intro: Persona (RM) Interlude: Shadow (SUGA) Outro: Ego (J-Hope) All three songs have MVs with captions. Each song represents an element of Carl Jung’s Map of the Soul theory but through the lens of each of the rappers.

Congrats on 1k! :-) I’m having a really fun time watching you discover BTS! This absolutely follows the story, but it’s a prequel - this is how he became Agust D, how he got the scar. Instead of all the bravado and anger, though, this is him confronting his traumas. His family situation, his parents’ illnesses, his own difficulties as a teenager and a trainee, and most prominently his car accident/shoulder injury which plagued him for most of his career and is the reason he’s in public service right now instead of active military duty. He’s showing us that he gave himself the scar - the Agust D persona - as a way to cope with all that. He spoke a lot during D-Day promotions and the tour about wanting to let go of his anger now. I’m interested to see where he goes musically when he comes back in 2025. Almost everything Yoongi (and BTS) does is intentional and purposeful. There’s bits of story and meaning hidden everywhere throughout their songs and MVs, repeated themes that get revisited with different perspectives - dreams, fame, mental health, greed, etc are common ones in Yoongi’s music in particular. He’s always fighting against his darker nature. Also you are absolutely correct - all seven of them, not just the rappers, have their own style and things they love musically, and are even really diverse within their own solo discographies. Yoongi has all kinds of songs now (mostly rap and hip hop, but he does not limit himself, RM is very experimental in his music, and Hobi has everything from dark gritty old school hip hop to super vibey hip hop to pretty R&B style vocals, now. There’s SO MUCH music! And if you like guitars, Yoongi’s your guy - lots of his solo music and the songs he writes/produces for the group have killer guitar parts, like “Tomorrow,” “So Far Away,” and “Dear My Friend”.
