Love love the violinist-- beautiful, inspiring and touching rendition of the butterfly lovers! Great respect to alady conductor and to hear the European Finnish orchestra play a Chinese modern classic is so special. They all gave an incredible performance!❤️❤️❤️
Sorry that you are working in a toxic environment. Look for something else to make a living. Take some time to listen to your favorite music and relax.
The same here that I have listened to countless number of 'Butterfly Lovers' played by hundreds of violinists over the past 50 years. This I have to say is one of the best versions in terms of technical competence, performance and interpretation. It is a 'concerto' and they together demonstrated exactly and precisely how a concerto should be played. Above all, it is an emotional piece and they certainly managed to do that !
OMG。This is beautiful! I am with tears in my eyes. How come I did not know about this Chinese violinist before? This is the best version among so many versions of this famous violin concerto from China I have ever heard so far. He is not only superior technically but also emotionally. I feel the happiness, sadness, tragic and passionate emotion and soul in his play. I hate it when there is a commercial that interrupt the my emotion.

His teacher, Yu Lina, was the first I think to have played the concerto to acclaim. The 1 lesser quality of this recording is the quality of his instrument. Well, it may be the short on the recording equipment also, not capturing the fuller frequencies. This is good enough.

Composed in 1959? And I accidentally heard 65 years later! The soloist is exquisite. Have not seen another conductor so lively and energetic. All the players are to be complimented.
This piece of music is such a masterpiece that it is beyond culture, language and time. It is always a beautiful masterpiece no matter where it is played and who are the players. I salute to the musicians here who seemed to have capture the subtle but powerful emotional expression of the East.

I’m hearing a bit of kung fu panda, and abit of oh I forgot that famous western piece early in the morning… but yeah I’ve listened to this exact video for 3 nights now…. I can feel this piece and the soloists passion
When he returned to the stage to play more, the female violinist of the orchestra looked at him with such admiring manner, almost like a fan instead of a fellow professional violinist.
I heard this symphony music early 50 years ago at my university age. But, it is the greatest and touches me deep inside me. The conductor and all players are marvelous.

The soloist, the orchestra, & the sectional soloists, & etc, & the flutist's fluttering trill & the solo at the recapitulation & etc, are just beautiful, and really bring out the essence and expression of the traditional characteristics of the Chinese folklike melody.
