My School's Drama Teacher recently passed away. This was his final show he put on and was one of his most passionate projects. He's wanted to do it for years and it finally happened. I had the opportunity to direct the high school band to play all of the songs for the performance, and I will say, watching him coordinate everything and tweak everything to perfection, it made me see a whole bed side of him and this play

1:12 - 1:30 God, I felt that in my heart strings! Even the melody after 1:30 was great, but that little section was filled with so much emotion. Probably one of my favorite motifs in the show!

I'm a harpist playing in the pit for my school's production of Beauty and the Beast and this piece is so fun to play but the petals (key changes) are absolute hell! My feet have never moved so fast-

I'm playing violin for the orchestra pit at my school, and the wolf chases legit make me want to die. I'm in pain just listening to the beginning of this wolf chase since it's just a crap ton of really high, fast 16th notes

Am I the only who like absolutely love pit music & how challenging it is? I'm doing the flute & picc part & we started rehearsing yesterday. I always see comments that are like "ugh I hate these sixteenth note runs". But for me i love them. Maybe its cause I'm a good & confident player. The only stuff I have trouble with is the runs & all that technical stuff but I get it down sooner or later. I just love the challenge.

Maybe dial back the pretentiousness a bit though, your conductor and fellow musicians will like you more. (I too enjoy pit music, and it's good you like a challenge, but your comment is a bit insufferable. No, High School Flute Player, of the literally thousands of people who've played pit music, you're not the only one who loves it.)
