According to McGregor himself, there's a reason his French accent is terrible in the film - and it's not because he can't do it. The directors asked him to do a French accent, but they didn't like the emphasis on the "r" and "o" sounds in his voice as it was apparently "too difficult" for American children to understand (I disagree with that premise, myself). They asked him to change it and the result was, according to him, more Mexican than French.

Beauty and the Beast is my all time favourite Disney movie because it has a beautiful storyline of never judge a book by it's cover and the fact that it is set in France and one of my favourite countries I want to visit is France. I have the animated version and I love Be Our Guest and Tale As Old As time, so I definitely can't wait for it to come out in March here in Australia.

OMG! Beauty & The Beast was my FIRST Disney film in the Cinema too!! A friend of mine her parent's took us!! I still remember like it was yesterday as we were late n sat right at the front!! Cant wait for this!! 😍👸🏰🌷

This was one of the trailers shown when we (me and my husband) went to see La La Land last week - it looked like it could be a fun film which we both thought we'd like to see, so that will probably be one of our next cinema visits. La La Land was great, by the way - a bit of romantic escapism, even if it's a bit sad at some points, and of course good songs and great scenes.
